Russia rules out arms sale to Pakistan

Jf-17 with Russian engines are a reality and always have been.. India would have objected if that deal would have been between russia and pak. But it was a deal between Russia and China and we don't meddle in the affairs of chinese

You did get your Al Khalids and IL's, Mi's from Ukraine right? did we blame Russia for it? show me proof that we did.

I was Talking About RD-93

Come on guys, doesn't the pakistanis believe in the caliphate and talibans their true epitome ? Isn't that why they uphold the uprooting of Russians from afganisthan as a mark of victory for Islam rather than recognizing it as a local fight against foreign aggression. With all this sh!t they expect russians to sell them weapons ? ROFL !!

Heights of delusion and utter tripe.

An IMPOSSIBRU Facepalm for you ...

Offering of TOP russian Fighters right after Russian - Afghan war. :flame:

RD-93 is sold to China, not to Pakistan. You get it through third party and India has objected it in past bu nothing was done by Russia.

and should not be done even in future, thats what we wanted to make sure.

chal lapet liya...

btw, why didn't it materialize ?

Cash most probably .. as Report says so. French were too desperate to sale Mirage 2000-5 but we had no cash b/c, we already invested a large amount in F-16s.

No country is allowed to sell weaponry or military platforms produced under license, unless the parent manufacturing country specifically allows it.

Pakistan flies the IL-78 refuelers. These were not purchased directly from Russia. If the Russians did not approve of such a sale in the first place, Pakistan would not have been able to induct these in its Air Force.

Such nuances need to be understood before commenting on issues relating to these aspects.

dude use your common sense, isnt selling RD93 an arms sell to pakistan?? is RD93 some barbie doll new model, its an engine of a fighter plane, plane that can kill indians, so yes, russia is already selling us weapons

Accha yaar.. tum khush ho lo... Just make sure you search for a kill switch on each of those engines before installing them in your Thunder ;)

And to add if the product is sold to 3rd country then country selling the platform has to pay the percentage in licence fee to the original country.Just as sweden pays licence fee for the usa engine if it sells gripen to 3rd country and all such products comes with restrictions.USA product comes with lot of restrictions and i think that was one major factor in rejection of gripen in MMRCA.

Atleast thunder is inducted and thundering in skies as compared to Late Combat Aircraft.............:P

Thats the difference between your planes and ours. Yours "thunder". Ours though late, will actually combat.

Wrong comparison.. What Thunder is to you, Su 30 MKI is to us.. Actually not really.. Because we manufacture the flanker completely in India including the fabrication of the engine from scratch.. Pakistan, and even China is years away from doing that with the Thunder..

Well, I can tell a few nice names for your Thunda(r) but then I am not as lame as you who can not come up with an elegant come back and has to resort to such "chichori" tactics ;)
