Remind you Z-10s are more navy oriented, dedicated to F-22p frigates.

May be you confused it with Z-9 that are ASW Helicopters being used with F-22p frigates and also from port.

The Z-10 is a dedicated attack helicopter,

a true beast!! PERFECT for future Pak Army Attack helicopter fleet with EXCELLENT anti tank and anti personnel capabilities as well as EXCELLENT A2A capability against UAV and other helicopters.

You mean 4 are enough to patrol Pak-Iran (900 km) + Duran line (2,500 km) ??

Helicopters, specially assault helicopter wont be use to PATROL the entire border, that can and will be monitored by forward posts, ground radars and UAV, all of these are much cheaper. The helicopters are meant to engage any insurgency attempt and for for ANF, 4 will be enough. Think of it like what a massive improvement it is over the system ANF currently use.

PEOPLE SHOULD STOP ACTING LIKE STUPIDS CRYING ABOUT WHY ARE WE GETTING JUST FOUR PLANES, YOU GOT REFUELING AIRCRAFT, YOU GOT JUST THREE OF THOSE, WHY??? BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT WAS REQUIRED. THE SMALL NUMBER OF 4 HELICOPTERS IS BEING ASSOCIATED WITH ANF, WHEN PAA GET THESE FOR SSG THAT WILL BE A LARGER NUMBER AS 4 FOR PAA WONT MAKE SENSE. REMEMBER THE DIFFERENCE, 4 PLANES FOR ANF ARE ENOUGH FOR THEM JUST LIKE 3 REFUELERS WERE ENOUGH FOR PAF.

This helicopter is preferable to the attack helicopter for what Pakistan needs now----actually SDQRN STRENGTH WOULD BE NICE-----.

We can deploy them at Jacobabad----sibi---Quetta---Gwadar---Pasni at critical places and use them for quick deployment of troops to work against saboteurs of railroad track---gas pipeline etc---.

Its seems that first four will be in testing phase and later PA army will request for further modification in next deliveries. Because this particular model has many modification and types and don't know which is right for Pakistani terrain. For example night operation equipment can be Pak made,Chinese made or buy from third party European defence group.Or may be Russian preferable . All is question of limitations and options .

This helicopter is preferable to the attack helicopter for what Pakistan needs now----actually SDQRN STRENGTH WOULD BE NICE-----.

We can deploy them at Jacobabad----sibi---Quetta---Gwadar---Pasni at critical places and use them for quick deployment of troops to work against saboteurs of railroad track---gas pipeline etc---.

Hi,

AH1Z and MIL 35 are two different breeds of helicopters----what the MIL can do---the Z cannot do----.

The mil can carry a troop load of 8 soldiers---it has a pilot and a navigator---the pilot area is entombed with a titanium tub to provide safety to the pilots from large caliber bullets---and possibly frontal RPG strikes. So it gives the pilots a lots of sense of security to operate freely.

Secondly----as the air strike is going on the helicopter can drop troops as well to clean up after the air strikes.

So---with 2 gunships---can drop 16 troops and provide air cover and keep carrying on ground strikes at will.

Like---if your drones notice a bunch of people coming close to the rail tracks at night time or coming closer to the gas pipeline----you can deploy the choppers on the run with the troops. Most important part is to have feet on the ground during an air strike.
