No, on the contrary we're quite calm. It's not the first time we're facing a media stunt of such magnitude.
Inshallah, the JF-17 will fly on March 23rd, just wait and see. :)

Every proud Pakistani hopes so too, may the prayers be answered and efforts bare fruit!:flag:

100 have already been bought, the contract allows 400 more. 500 engines not worth it? Russia would have to consider what blocking the sale of 500 engines to China would mean. China intends to mostly supply this to Pakistan. Remember the Chinese said a few weeks ago that they would secure the deal.

Asim you didnt read what i wrote. pak has orderd for 150 JF-17 the remaining going to other airforces and PLAAF.

500 engines is worth it, so even after the refusal to Pak they have 350 orders remaining.

we shall wait for March 23.

Lets do that indeed.
The JF-17 is being shipped to Pakistan as we speak, need couple of weeks to reassemble it.

I hope it appears in PAF colors. :flag:

I'm pretty sure a lot of those would be spares for Pakistan.

Without the 150 sales to Pak, the project won't get about moving. We are a sure thing. All the others like Zimbabwe, Bangladesh n all are just probables. And Pak and China would be co-producing for export. Pakistan is the Backbone and neck for this project. China won't even bother. Also remember the same export cap would apply to Pak's purchase of the J-10 which also uses a Russian engine.

How much would Russia be willing to hurt China for India?

.
They are not hurting China for say Asim. They are not letting China misuse Russian engines. China gets all it wants from Russia, same as India. What is the contention here is that China would try and arm India's enemy. That would be unacceptable to Russia. But lets just wait and watch. March 23 is not that far.

China and Pakistan have spended millions of dollars on the planes. It would be quite silly. Think about it. The problem we have here is China isn't really getting what it wants, and it wants the RD-93 for the JF-17. You will see a decrease in Russia & China defence relations if RD-93 doesnt get through.

Secondly, Russia doesn't give a damn about arming India's enemy. It is the Indian pressure which is making their officials commenting on the supply of the engines, but nonetheless we will have to wait and see if Pakistan & China are successful.

PLAAF doesnt even want the JF-17 mate. Its essentially for export purposes. China cannot demand something and expect Russia to comply with it disregarding other countries sensitivities.

I would beg to differ on this mate. Russia would indeed give a damn about arming India's enemy. Russia sees the growth of India militarily as an excellent sign for herself. How many times has Russia advocated Russia-India-China axis to counter US hegemony? Russia would indeed be sensitive to export some military machines to Pakistan. In this case, its only engines, they will never sell full military equipment to Pakistan for anything.

Its engines, its obvious, if Russia doesnt sell, some other country will, so they dont wanna miss out on the deal. But nevertheless even in such small an issue of supplying engines, since India is making noises, i doubt that the deal will go through with Russian engines.

Now, China will still get the engines to sell JF-17 to other countries, so essentially China's loss is not that much. They can still export it to other countries.

Dude ur not getting the point, ur are thinking far away, just thinking from ur own perspective.

I repeat again, it is said by many members in this thread and iam sayin it again, without Pakistan the thunder program is nothing. It can't work without Pakistan, it was Pakistan's idea to re-start the project, it was Pakistan who has invested half of the project, not any other country, it was pakistani pilots who evaluated the system, performed different tests along with chinese experts. It is Pakistan, who is going to induct most the jets into its inventory. Forget the engines:rolleyes: , the programs is not gonna end here just because of a damn engine. Learn to accept that!!!:P

By the way only 42 days left for :GUNS: JF-17 to thunder:partay:

Arming India's enemy is not unacceptable to Russia. It's just the business element that comes in. Russia is not helping India out of any moral obligation. If we presented them with the same amount of Dollars, they'd switch sides with the blink of an eye. Russian-Indian relationship is not like Sino-Pak relationship.

China didn't make the JF-17 to sell 20-30 planes. And unless their performance is seen with the PAF the others aren't going to be buying. Russia is already thinking along the lines of "If we don't sell them, someone else will". Also the production of the JF-17 is going to be done by both, Pak and China as both hold a 50% stake in it. We can't be joint producing the JF-17 without having it in our own service now can we?

Russia is probably worried of the fact that US keeps trying to woo India over, which would put India as a threat to Russia.

amin. insha'allah brother we just have to keep our faith in ALLAH strong. may ALLAH make it happen amin.:flag:

.
Also remember if India doesn't choose Russians for the MRCA, this would be an open and shut case in the favor of Pak.
