The top air force Command in Islamabad has received a Moroccan request for the acquisition of newly developed fighter jets in Pakistan, and military officials said that Morocco, Iran and Sudan have expressed interest in acquiring the Pakistani JF-17 Thunder aircraft, which was developed with China.
For his part, Pakistani Defense Minister Shahid Siddiq said eight countries, including Morocco, have expressed their desire to acquire the JF-17 Thunder aircraft and declined to specify the number of aircraft to be sold.
The Pakistan Embassy in Rabat said in a statement that it would be an appropriate opportunity for Pakistan to sell the "JF-17 Thunder" fighter developed with China. "This fighter is a multi-role aircraft and was manufactured at the Pakistan Aviation Complex in the city of Kamra.
The Pakistani embassy praised the fighter, and said it was very similar in performance to the American-made F-16, which is the backbone of the Pakistan Air Force, explaining that the "JF-17 Thunder" cost is half the cost of the US-made fighter.
