Thrash Metal genre has existed in Bangladesh since it started in the west - however there is a profusion of bands, it is slowly waning in popularity, as groove metal gets more of a foothold. Here's Cryptic Fate, Arbovirus and Nemesis.

Cryptic Fate - Bhor'er Opekkha (Waiting for Dawn) - Garage Session Video

Arbovirus - Hariye Jao (Losing Oneself)

Arbovirus _ Adhar O Ishshor (Darkness And God)

Nemesis - Ghuri (Kite) - Garage Version

Nemesis - Joyoddhoni (Roar of Conquest)

Stentorian - Jolosrot (Flow) - old thrash metal piece from before 2010

Stentorian - Money Porey Na (Don't Remember)

Funeral Anthem - Tiktiki (House Lizard)

Nemesis - Bir (Lionheart) from their Album 'Tritio Jatra'

Nemesis - Hold On

Like all metal - best heard loud with a nice set of speakers and a killer Sub !!!

Aurthohin - Jodi Kono Din (Somehow Someday) with Bangladesh Rock Legend 'Bassbaba' Sumon.

good stuff, man

though not all of it is metal or thrash :what:
-----------------------------------------------------------------

carnatic shred by Prasanna

carnatic metal by Mattias Eklundh, obviously not Indian but he incorporates some of those very complex classical Indian time signatures and other carnatic nuances just brilliantly ! 8-)

Dude I'm not a musicologist. Just making hunches here...

Maybe one of the diehard metal freaks from Bangladesh will correct me...fast riffing alone doesn't make thrash genre....I'd say there are almost minimum fifty or so metal bands alone of various styles locally (including groove and acoustic), not to say of Pop, traditional Bengali, Jazz etc. etc.

About ten years ago Bangladesh was flooded (!) with Thrash metal bands, not so popular anymore. The time for Thrash (when it was popular) has come and gone before 2012...people want more talent and creativity nowadays....but of course the diehard fans are still there.

Some more,
