I actually wasn't aware there were different qualities of strings, so what you're saying is the lower the gauge the more beginner friendly? So I just get the lowest they have on sale right?
And turning the action down, the shopkeeper would do it for me or I could get some friend to do it :] Similarly for an amp, I have friends who have nice amps so I could always meet up (I'm gonna learn from a friend anyways) and also if I'm performing I'll use the big school amps obviously so no problem there.
And I'm coming to see the queen (lol) this summer, would it be cheaper to buy in UK? I live in freaking dubai, cheap things(water bottles etc) are cheaper here and expensive things(guitars etc) more expensive
So one final thing, can I get a list of models to consider along with prices? Just in case I dont get ripped offThe lowest you should see around is 8-9 gauge, both of which are fine. I'd recommend these if you're starting out.
School amps work well, the large tube amps will give you a great sound.
I doubt it, then again, I have no idea how much any of this costs in Dubai.

I agree! I much prefer it to the original. I am a fan of old country and western, but you are correct in that Cash always transcend being in just one genre. He was genius. 'Solitary Man' video was great, btw.He covers 'Hurt' better than the original artist in my opinion. I'm not even much of a country music fan and I love Johnny Cash. He transcends musical genres.

Which do you think is best (all used, the last one is 800 like the rest and the model is EG112C)? This is the only website here I can use
I called and asked, as mentioned in the brackets above^I see you're going for Yamaha, good brand, reliable and consistently good.
Although I would have thought that they're out of your price range.
The first two you listed are both:
Yamaha ERG 121
Here are some reviews on it:

It looks good to me, seems solid, the pick ups like those I've played with a good many times and with a guitar like that, only it was an Ibanez, I forgot which model. It's pretty standard in clean, but the overdrive/distortion channels on an amp are where it's good.
Take your time to also look at the amps. One of them has a yamaha amp listed, which i feel will be better than the smaller Ibanez one.
The last one doesn't have a model name I saw. Maybe contact the seller and ask. It's important.
