You prob have heard of some Pakistani music when you listen to Bollywood (if you do) - half of all the super hit songs are copied from 1950s Pakistani songs :p:

Anyway Pakistani pop during 1970s-1990s era was a beautiful time where music was magical now some just scream while others try to break their musical instruments though some have recovered from the trauma and breakdown of humiliating music and are now signing better :D

Some of my fav ones from across the timeline:

When I have time I will compile a series of my favorite music from my country.

For now, you can enjoy these two guitarists, they are not my countrymen but I have previously taught them how to play the guitar:

Yup, please do it, we need some kind of reference on Vietnamese good musicians

Thanks, sure....... :partay:

Think it's already posted but I'll add too. It's a classic and fast enough even today though it's from 80s

Hope you like the tone

@Indos

@Indos sorry I almost forgot about your request.

Here is an ethnic minority guy in Vietnam. His language is malayo-polynesian. The first part of this song is sung in his own ethnic language, the second half is in Vietnamese. Can you understand any of the malayo-polynesian part?

And this song is just in Vietnamese. I like listening to it while I eat:

@Viet bro come here chill with me.

Nope, I dont know a word of that Malayo-polynesian part, maybe Indonesian from Eastern part does understand some.

The second song is like a comedian song, isnt it....? We also have one comedian group who often makes comedian song like this one........ :partay:

Tips : Bau in Indonesian means smelly...( to understand what they are singing about )

And this one is easy listening one, a romantic song, the male and female voice is quite different but sounds really good

That second song is very meaningful for Vietnamese. Guess what kind of meat is hanging in that clip.

Cool songs. But romantic songs will make me fall asleep. The first song is not my type of misic though, that was the only song I could find that has malayo-polynesian lyrics. Wiki said that language come from the Cham malay. Thought you might be interested in it.

Nowadays I tend to only listen to "epic orchestral". Keeps me awake while I read/write but still doesn't distract me with lyrics/vocals:

I used to listen to these kind of Viet songs:

This song written by a malayo-polynesian dude, but lyrics in Viet. These performers are ethnic malay, they had a few guitar lesson from me:

I also listened to pop songs during my puberty years but those are too embarrassing to post.

@Viet what viet songs you listen to?
