Where is the source?

My friend send me the pics as attachments.I did some research and found that canards are not present in the basic models but are an addition in the MKIs.The canards must have been added on later.

These are the first batch of SU-30MKs received in 1996, later replaced by the SU-30MKIs in grey below.

I stand corrected :-

These are the very first batch of the 8 Su 30s (MK-I) bought off the shelf from the Irkutsk plant with 100% Russian components and it was basically the vannilla version of the Su-30.The serial no were from SB 001 to SB 008 (the flanker in the first pic) which are currently based at No. 24 Hawks squadron at Lohegaon AFS.

The Flankers in the 3rd,4th and 5th pics (SB 010, SB 014 and SB 018) are Su 30Ks (total 10 nos) which were originally destined for the Indonesian Airforce but were diverted to the IAF due to the South East Asian financial crisis. They are also currently in service in the No. 24 Hawks squadron at Lohegaon AFS.
