OK, PAC will be able to design FGF, all the main components fuselage, wings, empennage, etc. What about the powerplant? Where it will be sourced from. China, who still have not mastered the turbofan engines or RF? It should be sufficiently optimized for the stealth AC.

But now that the Turk is breaking the 'box' ...within next ten years Trukey shall have first rate jet engine...for the rest Turkish industry is very mature in other systems.

So, alll friends and foes must rest assured that TFX and PFX will soar like Eagles. Cooperation between TAI and PAC is a given in this regard as well...in the same way it is for PAC and CAC.

That loss should be declared an act of treason and a handover to India on a silver platter. The situation was salvagable if people had some common sense. But too many power hungry people resulted in the loss of half the country.
I want all of us to remember that day as the biggest act of treason against the people and state of Pakistan. Even if we could not have maintained to wings 1000 miles apart there could and should have been a loose confederation between the two wings. We would have been much more stronger together. We are definitely worse off.

Prototype in 2022？I'm thinking about a J-20 variant. FC-31 is already a prototype, and the scedule is too tight for a brand new 5 gen plane. The biggest possibility could be a customized J-20 with WS-15 on-board. Tha's the only reasonale time scheme.

Yes. It would be a J-20 variant. Additionally, they also want a successor to the JF-17, more than likely, it would be called the JF-18 and will be a miniaturized / single engine version of the lager stealth platform. So between so called the "JF-18" (JFT block 4 or 5 really), and the stealth twin engine variant of the J-20, you'd see PAF's advance Hi-Lo stealth interception and attack tier taking shape.

we are currently building 16 planes per year

Per my latest information, it is 20-22 per year. Depending on the new upgrades that are being reto-fit into the aircraft during manufacturing, which delays the batch from 25 down to 20-22 per year at this point. 16 was last year.

FC-31 won't come to Pakistan. The PAF wants some heavies at this point and J-20 would be that. Its miniaturized version would become another jet with a single engine, or another future block of the JFT. So that way, one set of technology will be standardized across the Hi-Lo stealth tier and would be easier to maintain and build internally.

not possible and J-20 has export bar, J-20 single engine version just a rumors nothing elseand there is no stealth version of JF-17, ACM said that on multiple times in the past, best chance to get F-31 with TOT or project "AZM" will be new clean sheet design not based on either J-20 or nor J-31 who knows and PAF showed interest in both jets (J-20 chances will too slim to get), (FC-31 has more chances to induct by the PAF)
