because buddism isn't a very different kind of religion than hinduism. it's a symbiotic relationship between hinduism and buddhism. buddhism is considered to be part of the three great religions formed in the land of india : hinduism, buddhism, jainism.

PS : apart from sikh religion.

Buddhism and Jainism are the part of Hinduism and borrowed a lots of Idea from Yog Darshan such as ahinsa which is a part of Yam , Niyam the first two stages of of eight stages of Ashtang Yoga which is a tool to realize the ultimate goal of Samadhi where one's soul realize that it is a part of the ultimate reality.
