Point Of View with ArzooKazmi : An Indian Muslim's stance on Ayodhya

BS. You are talking with no knowledge.

Anyone who passes the courses required can become a priest in the temple.

There are thousands of non-Brahmin priests including Muslim priests all over India.

Jodhpur : Temple head priest a Muslim

More SC/ST members to become priests in Kerala
  • Quota system to be followed
    M. Rajagopalan Nair, chairman, KDRB of the Board, said the 32 per cent caste reservation policy would be strictly followed in the appointment and as many as 10 priests belonging to SC/ST communities and 50 OBC community members would get the appointment in temples in the next turn.

There were over 150 vacancies of priests in temples of Kochi Devaswom Board and another 30 in Guruvayur Devaswom and the reservation policy would be applied here, he said.

The recruitment of six youths, who belonged to the earlier socially outcast communities, had kicked up a storm in the social sector of the State as their forefathers were even denied the right to walk through the public roads and worship in temples.

The six Dalits who have been selected include P.R. Yadukrishna, a Pulaya community member, P.S. Sumesh, G. Jeevan, and M.K. Pradeepkumar (Pulaya) and P.C. Manoj (Vettuva).

Ram Temple will have SC/ST priests: Hindu Mahasabha chief

Good start. And how many SC/ST priests were present during foundation laying ceremony of Ram Temple ?

https://theprint.in/opinion/what-ab...ommunist-intellectuals-wont-demand-it/476475/

The Ram Mandir bhoomi pujan in Ayodhya Wednesday was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and governor Anandiben Patel. Besides being the only woman on the stage, Patel was also the only Shudra present at the ceremony. Among the priests who performed the bhoomi pujan ritual, there was not a single Shudra — not even from Yadav, Jat, or Kurmi communities of UP, let alone from one of the Other Backward Classes and Dalits.

Hinduism considers all people as Hindus. It is the individual's prerogative what to believe and follow. Hinduism does not mandate.
Don't talk about things you don't understand. You are not intelligent enough to understand Dharma. Dharma is meant for the wise and intelligent. It is complex and can't be understood by everyone. Don't act like a representative of dharma and go around speaking anything.

Why would you get a SC/ST priest? Priest attending Ram Janmabhoomi must be someone who has following of large number of people and popular. Asking to select priests on caste basis is foolish to say the least

The President of India, a lower caste, was also not invited.

First time I am hearing that Dharma is only for wise and intelligent people. Let me guess....only Brahmins are wise and intelligent?

It is the other way around. Only the wise and intelligent people were chosen to be Brahmans and to lead dharma. Intelligent but not wise people and wise but unintelligent people were given other positions, Ones who were neither intelligent nor wise are shudras to do menial labur.

What do you mean? There is a supreme court judgement confirming that reservation quota of SC, ST & OBC is valid for Priest jobs. Anyone violating this could be convicted by law. Major temples like Tirupati are already following the reservation quota system.

Thanks for the explanation. This should be a sticky for easy referral.

In a better world, your 'religion' would have been banned. But it exists, alas, to the detriment of the lives of millions.

In a better world, Dharma is the only thing that will exist as it is most logical and based on natural law. All other religions will be deemed unnatural and banned

Which supreme court judgement speaks of reservation in temple jobs?

Secondly. the Ram Mandir will have Sc/ST as priest. But the inauguration is limited to popular priests and personalities only

@The Eagle @waz @xeuss @jamahir @Joe Shearer
Is it Ram mandir? or can we call it RSS mandir? I mean, by Hindu/Vedas scripture/law is it legitimate way to construct the building?
is it like blasphemy if we start calling it RSS mandir?

There are multiple instances of kings making donations to build Buddhist viharas, universities, etc. So no, Buddhism was not outlawed in ancient India. In fact, Buddhism which originated in India is still followed by many South East Asian countries and I'm sure you know of this. Hindus don't look down on Buddhists and it's the vice versa for them as well.

But good to see you being concerned of Buddhism.
