That is news to almost all of us here. Dear we participated in a show there. PM of Qatar witnessed the performance as well but that do not means they are buying JF17. Do not base your ideas on speculations and then present them s facts sir. It is misleading.

I hope we do work on our foreign relations because as of now we are quickly losing what we can call friends!

It says that they JF17 and Mushakq were in Qatar for the show, not that we have signed a deal or anything. Read again, there is NO deal signed or made public. That is all there is for now.

Initially it looked like simply a room, perhaps a rest station for men at close by stations etc You can see that AC sort of thing and even make out that door. That didn't made much sense anyway. However upon closer analysis, I noticed the radome or antenna like thing on top of the room.

Some signal transmission or intelligence gathering equipment? Cannot understand what else it could be as all other search and track radars and fire control radars are already accounted for.

Not sure but will get on it and try to find out what this exactly is. Looks interesting.

Probably just another satcom. Maybe for working with other navies, maybe for working with special forces. Might simply be a commercial unit.

Here's a pic from a 2009 national exercise in Arabian Sea near Karachi, October 29, 2009. The military exercise, codenamed Sea Spark, is conducted every two years. Note a similar 12ft container with satcom dome (although a different one by the looks of it) on PNS Tariq.

BRO please,, it is NOT AESA radar
It dont even look like one but even if it does, it is not that. Looks like basic communication equipment or intelligence gathering/receiver at best. Will look for details.

The picture you shared clearly shows the exact same setup, same room same gadget on roof. Mot probable an antenna for communication or intelligence data receiver at best.

yibasked a navy guy when i was there on the ship a year ago.ke said its for internet and bandwidth stuff.he didn't go into details but said we can connect to satellite from this room
