Aman International Navel Exercises

As part of the multinational AMAN-2025 military event in Karachi, Pakistan's special forces practiced marine counter-terrorism operations. The AMAN-25 exercise, hosted by the Pakistan Navy, involves troops from over 60 nations. This year's exercise is the largest since its inception in 2007. The event, Starting from February 7-11, including ships, aircraft, and special ops forces. The exercise was into two phases: the Harbour Phase until February 9, contains the steps seminars and cultural events, and the Sea Phase on February 10 and 11,Targating on practical exercises like "anti-piracy and anti-terrorism" drills. A maritime counter-terrorism demonstration was organized by the Pakistan "Marines and Special Services Group" (SSG Navy) on February 9, involving affected terrorists, hostage rescues, and explosions. The exercise also unveiled capabilities like winching injured personnel and speed and coordination drills. The AMAN maritime activity has been conducted every two years since 2007 with the theme “Together For Peace”. The 9th edition of the exercise includes the inaugural AMAN Dialogue, focusing on maritime security challenges in the Indian Ocean.


 
General Syed Asim Munir NI(M) Chief of Army Staff (COAS) was the Chief Guest at the 9th Multinational Exercise AMAN 2025 International Fleet Review (IFR). The IFR marked the conclusion of the exercise in the North Arabian Sea. He arrived on board Pakistan Navy Ship (PNS) MOAWIN and was received by Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf. Event was visited by various officials including the Governor and Chief Minister of Sindh the Federal Minister of Maritime Affairs ambassadors high commissioners foreign naval chiefs senior military officers and defense attaches from participating countries. During the IFR General Munir observed operational maneuvers and drills by the multinational fleet and a Fly Past by aircraft from the Pakistan Navy Pakistan Air Force and other participating nations. The exercise concluded with the AMAN Naval Formation symbolizing unity and commitment to maritime peace and security.

Exercise AMAN-2025 held in Karachi from February 7-11 was the largest version since its inception in 2007, with a record participation of 60 nations. The exercise included a Harbour Phase until February 9, featuring seminars and cultural events and a Sea Phase on February 10 and 11, focusing on practical exercises. A maritime counter-terrorism demonstration was conducted by the Pakistan Marines and Special Services Group (Navy). Exercise aimed to improve communication and cooperation between participating navies combat maritime crimes and terrorism and promote Pakistan's image as a nation committed to maintaining peace and stability in the region
