Pashto to be official language: Sikandar Sherpao

That was more focused on loving God irrespective of all forms. was not much focused on eleminating difference between casts though its idea was more on equality. But after Muslims infulence in North it was mainly focused on uniting all casts

Muslims in North India readily adopted Hindu's caste system and its still very much alive in UP and Bihar. Urdu terms are Ajlaaf and Ashraaf for Muslim caste system.

Sanskrit is mother of and has influenced lots many Indian languages, Sanskrit connects North Indian and South Indians languages. Certainly its not any special caste's monopoly.

Yes you are very true, even Tamil language is also having lot of Sanskrit words.

Wrong even after conversion this system is still followed in Pakistan especially during marriages.

There are lot of examples.

so which language you want to make as national language ?

Sindh is more biased than anyone you will see signs in Sindhi and English but not in Urdu there.

Its like Tamil NADU where they prefer Tamil over Hindi

So what is wrong in Tamils preferring Tamil over Hindi. In villages where literacy is very low during independence for many decades, do you really think people will understand Hindi or English readily.

In North, people think South Indians have preserved lots of ancient Indian culture and customs.

South was far from invasions and so most of the Indian culture is preserved

I think only Pashtuns and Baloch don't have such thing. Punjabis still identify themselves with their castes like Jutt, Gujjar, Choudhary, Arain, Rajput etc. 1000 years after converting to Islam.

indentifying with their tribe is one thing and practicing untouchability is quiet another.

the later is not rampant here. you may see economic divid but NOT the untoucability .

Yes you are right, West Punjabis are racist in nature and the very reason East Pakistan got separated.

Whats wrong in making it official language, if there is a sizable number of people using it. And this debate of national language vs local is quite old, I thought we more or less accepted it in 60s and pakistanis did not (and contributed to bangladesh independence)

These were/are Hindu castes, not tribes. Hindus societies never had the tribal system, tribal are called Adivasis. Its just white-washing by naming Hindu inherited caste as tribes.

Go through the article I have posted earlier and you will know your self.

Is 'unity in diversity' an alien concept in pakistan? Indians are heading for a loose federation of states, and we had never been happier. We get to preserve our language and culture and be part of pan-indian identity at the same time.
