Pakistan’s Industry is Running Close to Full Capacity: Razak Dawood

Innocent question: how much investment would a 300 billion economy need to increase it's share of industry from present 19% to gdp to 40% to gdp?

.
The train of bad news isn’t showing any end for India!!! Their highest value traitors and terrorists - more worthy than Bangal bastards like Mujb or Mukti Bahini - are in retreat!!! Pak insha’Allah will get rid of Hindu’s slave maggots like NS, AZ, PDM, PTM etc. for good....

.
This is great

the problem however was that because the cnuts like Pmln and PPP were such beghairat haramis they kept trying to get power but never did anything for the country like invest in or expand its industrial base or invest in supporting that base through things like education or incentives

so even though we are at full capacity, we are limited until PTI now spends it's efforts in trying to expand that industrial base
whilst the opposition and their blind harami supporters try to create chaos and stop any change

It’s funny what you’re saying as 90% people in PTI came from those parties who have already served and failed.
Sheikh Rasheed lol Hafeez Sheikh was finance minister before during Mush and PPP government and this Razzaq dawood was also minister in Mush era.

They are Pakistani, they have grown up with corruption as a basic reality of everyday life in Pakistan

The difference now is that Imran Khan has spent over 20 years of his life getting to a position where he can lead these people and try to change them and Pakistan

We should be looking to support him not bring back the trash like Pmln and ppp

. . .
Why are we allowed to export cotton to bangladesh but unable to support domestic industry with that same cotton? also central asia has a huge amount of cotton that is of the best quality.

Most of our mills have been set up decades ago, thus them running at full capacity is not enough. Govt should ensure policies for the creation of more mills using the latest technologies to increase export since the demand is there.

With our currency rate and the large increase in electricity production we can easily take a large chunk of BDs/Indias textile market.

Mate you’re blaming previous governments and i am telling you all those people in previous governments are now ministers in PTI, so you can’t blame previous governments end of story.

He took 20 years but couldn’t find 10 good people to be part of his ministries, it’s a sheer arrogance and incompetence. Will you risk your family lives with un-trained, addicted and amateur driver for long journey?

Pakistan’s Industry is Running Close to Full Capacity: Razak Dawood

Adviser to Prime Minister on Commerce and Investment, Abdul Razak Dawood, speaking to a media outlet informed that Pakistan’s industry is running close to its 100 percent capacity.

He said that the industrial base has also started expansion, which can be clearly inferred from increasing imports of machinery. The government has been offering incentives to promote industrialization, and following the current expansion, the industrial activity in the country is likely to go up.

The government has provided a temporary economic refinance facility (TERF) of Rs. 100 billion to the business community for the import of machinery to achieve sustainable industrialization, and according to the SAPM many industrialists have started importing machinery under the initiative.

The industrialists can avail TERF initiative till March 31, 2021, under which they can avail financing at a 5 percent interest rate.

Dawood informed that exports in services have increased by 46 percent in five months of the current financial year, despite the downward pressures caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, because of the drastic decrease in Pakistan’s cotton production, the imports of the textile sector have also gone up. The SAPM informed that the industrialists will have to import five million cotton, costing $1.2 billion to meet the textile export orders. At the same time, diversification in textile exports has gained momentum for Pakistan.

The government will continue to provide the incentives in the shape of drawbacks of local taxes and levies (DLTL), said Dawood, adding that the facility will not be available for export of yarn and grey cloth.
