So still there is no reply to what I asked apart from 1 who re-iterated what I said.
In your posts, one of you is showing me the poll, that has no effect on GHQ. One is saying that Army is at a war against its people, which is not the case. Another is giving gist of hybrid warfare through media and IT stand against Army which Army has mentioned as 5th gen warfare already and has taken measures to counter it, while I have been mentioning this since 2019. A dedicated department was made a decade ago or more and then on the cyber warfare capability was enhanced in the Army.
TTowers is trying to mention what I mentioned before, yes Army is from the public and the only thing which can hurt Army is recruiting process if public doesn't show up to become officers or soldiers in Army. This is what can hurt GHQ in next coming years or decades but even then automation or weaponry with more firepower will cater this issue to some extent. Army already knows that its 773 -strong infantry battalions (and Engineers Battalion) is the biggest unit it has while LAT,HAT, Armor, Artillery, AD, Signals, EME etc have around 400-500 troops, the missile units have even smaller number of troops in units. The problem can occur in CORO, where retired officers are called upon during war to undertake all desk jobs in HQs while able bodied soldiers are sent to front lines. If the recruitment process gets slow, this affects CORO too in coming years. Then the other contingency is that troops of paramilitary get accepted in regular forces to cater for numbers. Or Army shrinks a bit more in size while paramilitary swells up at a lesser salary. There have been threads already that military size should reduce, while troops should become more specialized in their tasks and that modern weaponry is ever more destructive than before which is how R&S battalions were envisioned in 60's to hold ground through less troops but massive firepower with 100% mobility. Serviceability and maintenance of drones is still easier than MBTs or fighter jets and the risk of loss of pilot is far lesser so this means lesser pilots and technicians than regular formations. Inflation has reached such a level that public will join Army for sake of getting a job and securing their future through house or plot or land that Army gives to its officers/troops on retirement, plus the pension. Army was one of the departments during COVID which was giving salary on regular basis when even some Government departments were not paying fully or delaying salaries.
Promotions, weaponry acquisition, any policy that Army makes for itself such increasing formations, making more posts for Generals, handing out 10 more plots to anyone - has no voice of public, no involvement of public and this will prevail.
ISPR will do what its supposed to do as a department, even if they make songs, its still not a necessity to give lollypop to the public, it will however maintain relations with media and public. It has to give its report to GHQ at the end of the day so let the lollypops continue. ISPR will keep giving its press releases and its productions will continue.
