We blame Pakistani hardliners but their strategists have suicidal tendencies too....o_O
Pakistan is like a madman with a gun.....this country needs to be dis-armed asap for the sake of humanity....it's a good thing that the Americans are keeping a close watch on their Nukes....

Since I'm someone with wee bit of experience in these,I am interested to know how does Pakistan deal with various engineering h challenges that any country faces while developing long range SLBMs like-
1)various types of instabilities like
(a) combustion instability
(b) acoustic instability
2) higher ISPpropellants.
3)Geometry of propellant grain viz- star shaped etc
4)TVC(for pitching and yaw) and RCS(for roll) instead of external control surfaces
5)and lastly design of complete underwater firing system

@The Deterrent
Infactw it'll come to you as a great surprise that acoustic instability was a problem during initial stages of development of LRSAM which they painstakingly sorted out at DRDL.
Secondly a lot of ISROs liquid fueled motors performed miserably in our initial stages of rocket development(90s),because various types of Combustion instabilities were less known among Indian research community. I expect the same with Pakistan infactPakistan llacks far behind in research vis a vis India. Infact acoustic instability dominates Indian research as it is least known now.

Mr Mishra,

Who are you trying to impress? Some 13 year old kids who frequent this open forum? Any Pakistani with knowledge of these areas will be working on the real thing and not wasting his time or even allowed to write on the topics on an open forum. BTW SLBMs are not the only solution for second strike capability. There are also SLCMs and Pakistan has more than 30 years of experience with SLCMs both of American and French origin albeit shorter range Harpoons and Exocets. Pakistan's second strike capability will most probably be a derivative of Babur cruise missile. A container lunch has been publicly tested and there are rumors that a submerged barge mounted test has also be conducted. One of the reason the deal for German subs didn't go through was that they were not agreeing to larger diameter for Torpedo tube which could fit Babur.

Dear Bossman,
Perhaps you are UNAWARE of journals like IEEE and AIAA(American institute of aeronautics and astronauntics). A lot of research papers with pretty significant military value also gets published. Coming to Indian context, my friend I've seen a plethora of research papers(in DSJ) with real military significance,so saying that they "cant" get it published in Pakistan is plain and utter nonsense!
SECONDLY,when you say 30 years of experience would you kindly elaborate what those "30 years of experience" might entail?does it entail?
1)capability to design a gas turbine?
2)capability to address various challenges in gas turbine?
3)metallurgical research in structure? Like equiaxed ,directionally solidified or single crystal structures?
4)establishment of industry that can mass produce the components of #3
5)establishment of complete ecosystem for industries centered around GTs
6)capability to design and manufacture various kinds of sensors and actuators?

Thirdly I assume you're educated enough to understand the difference between a hot launch and cold launch.till now Pakistan has demonstrated "HOT LAUNCH" of babur from canisters, they're yet to master "cold launch" that you usually see in submarine silos.
For a cold launch you essentially need a huge gas generators to propel the missile out of silo and then the ignition of aux stage starts that pushes the missile out of water(in our case a nose mounted gas generator possibly does this)

and lastly Pakistan Doesn't even have submerged pontoon launch facility to validate their design from

Americans are keeping a close watch on their Nukes....

Yes Sir, Americans are keeping their eye close even after paying the price .... to India ....

You are amazing... I am very much impressed by your intellect... you want to blow your own country by your own nukes...
Tumhare jaisa dushman ho to fir dost kisko cahiye...:)
in short when the games they used to play with india are not able to produce the same results as in past as india has changed its defnce policy towards them from passive to active and its becoming way too expensive to push there old policy but are not willing to give away there age old demands they are trying to blackmail india by pointing a neuclear gun towards there own head :sarcastic:

Minus point 8 and 9, yes.

For:

8. If India put satellite on Mars => Pakistan resolve single day eid problem.
9. If India will ban Cow slaughtering => Pakistan reduces price of Veal by 20%
10. If India bombs Bangladesh to kingdom come => Pakistan celebrates with fireworks of the century.
Etc etc etc........

:D

Inshort Op wanted to say Pakistan doctrine is ...
1. If India use cold start doctrine : Pakistan has small Nuke missile .
2. If India militarize A & N island : Pakistan has longer Nuke missile .
3. If India will built SSBN : Pakistan has to built Nuke submarine .
4. If India will develop ABM : Pakistan has to develop MRV Nuke
5. If India built aircraft carrier : Pakistan has to develop small Nuke .
5. If India will kill Hafiz Saeed : Pakistan has to Nuke India.
6. If India will stop Indus river water : Pakistan has to Nuke India .
7. If India will put objection to CPEC : Pakistan has to Nuke India .
8. If India put satellite on Mars : Pakistan has test Nuke missile .
9. If India will ban Cow slaughtering : Pakistan has to Nuke India .
.
.
.as nuclear bomb is a fire cracker, use anytime, anywhere, any reason....

Soviet Union disintegrated BECAUSE of small fries Pakistan. Therefore, India is small fries as to USSR in front of Pakistan.

Soviet Union disintegrated without firing a single n. bomb. Pak is small fries compared to them.

We have got to stop bringing up nukes for every threat. It does not befit a nation like Pakistan to keep threatening others with nuclear weapons. While they offer incredible destruction capabilities, they are best kept in storage and never used. That is the ultimate nuclear defense.

We need to focus on our economy and improve our conventional defense (and opt for more than just multi-role fighters and frigates).

Wrong Sirji,
If India wants bombs Bangladesh to kingdom come => Pakistan will join with nuke of the century:devil:

Who is Showing UN Observers the violation sites??? Who want the investigation from UN regarding ceasefire violations ??? Your pathetic allegation are as same as your ¤Sarkar's.¤

However, I am the supporter of that *Hum to dobey hain sanam tum ko bhi le dobain gey*. If we don't have options Pakistan should nuke anyone which is causing that damage.
If you had apply some brain cells before hitting that reply button then you will see your first para has nothing to do with my post...and second para is usual rhetoric that your guys have picked up in recent past....

Go do your own research. There are huge number of academic papers coming from Pakistani Universities NUST, PIEAS, LUMS and many others.QS University Rankings: Asia 2015 | Top Universities=

Having said that Pakistani approach to defense projects is very different from India's and that is why we have been more successful in operationalizing our defense projects compared to India, which has failed in all major defense projects. We do don't go around pretending to be great scientist, like you are trying to do here, and reinvent the wheels every time. We make what we can, what is feasible and we buy or steal what we cannot. In the end our products work and yours don't example being Arjun, LCA, INSAS, Kiran, AJT, Kaveri and the list goes own.

As for your laundry list above why are single crystal structures needed for turbines used in a cruise missile which will be used only once? Single Crystal turbine blades are only needed in high performance turbines. This shows how well informed you are. How do you know Pakistan doesn't have submerged pontoon launch facility and that it has not been used for a cold launch? The point I made and you did not understand is that Pakistan has been launching sub-surface missiles for more than 30 years and it might learned a few things in the process and reengineered them for SL Babur. Pakistan never shows all its cards. A case in point, Pakistan did cold tested its nuclear devices in the mid 80s' while the hot test was not done until 1998 after the Indian nuclear test.

Problem with Indians like you is your inherent bias as you think Pakistan has no technology and you guys are the smartest people who have walked the face of the earth and you continue to believe in this myth despite being proved wrong so many times. This sense of delusion is an asset for us. You can live in your self create sense of false reality, when the time comes you will be surprised. Pakistani military industrial infrastructure is much bigger than you think. I would suggest using Google Earth on places like Taxila, Fateh Jhang, Kamra, Hassan Abdal, Karachi, Mianwali, Khushab, Wah, Havelian, Attock. If you are smart you figure things out etc.
