Obviously, you missed the context of my post, which was in response to the original article, specifically about Pakistan not getting anymore Perry-class frigates from US, which they only have one.

US may have been generous before, but these days? The only things that US seems ready to give Pakistan is weapons related to counter-terrorism and COIN, hence the approval of sale of attack helicopters, anti-IED MRAPs, and even some F-16s.

in fact pakistan used thousands of us made weapons and you guys need to learn that pakistan is a free country and purchased from dozens of countries and also sale to dozens of countries .

Free country indeed. Need to ask Pakistan's COAS and Air Marshall what they were doing in US asking for more funds and more equipment when they can anything they want from China.

It doesnt have same speed as LCS because their missons are different, ada class is corvette and others are littoral combat ship.

Its Codag in ada class, İ class might be cogag . It will come in service around 2022-2023

wont codlag be a better solution? diesel generater, generates power for the ship and powers electric motors which turn the propellers too. this means there will be little or no vibrations. also diesel is quiet and efficient so this would increase the range of the ship too. im not a fan of codag or diesel engines powering the propellers as they only have a max speed of 30 kts average

I cant talk about vibration issue yet it needs further analysis, depends on type of ship, generator location and so on, also it might be gas turbines to power generators than diesels. the handicap of direct combined system is the super complicated gears, to combine two system which runs in different speed.
Gas turbines are still best for power to volume or weight ratio , might consider fuel efficiency as well.
Codlag is better solution for sure ,electric motors are quite suitable for the ships due to constant torque provided by them. Some navies already use the system, ie the zumwalt class, İ think our navy also considers.

the modernization programme of the PN was nothing short of a joke they purchase 6-8 subs worth 5 billion and the biggest joke is none of these are nuclear subs, they still lack a dedicated air wing and are now speaking of the JF-17 for air navy role when its shortlegged and lacks any range, they look at the F-22 frigate as some kind of savior when it doesn't even incorporate stealth? they beg the USA for perry class frigates? perry class frigates that aren't going to do shit in war!!! who ever is running the pak navy is a moron of the highest caliber.
the pak navy need 10 stealth missile frigates capable of launching cruise missiles.
they need nuclear submarines capable of launching cruise missiles/BMs
they need dedicated AWACs
they need a dedicated air wing which is made up of a true 4th generation fighter with range and payload.

the current admiral want the PN to look like a joker navy a bigger joker navy then it actually is. he thinks a F22 frigate capable of launching subsonic third class C802 and an diesil submarines and a squadron of JF-17s which lack weapons payload and range will ensure the countries survivability in war.

Type45 still does have gas turbines and diesel additional to alternators sure . I think the worst of gas turbines are high maintenance cost , also the complexity. I have faced several time that a diesel engine failure is fixed in an our with some technician while gas turbine needed a special repair team to repair.
There is no plan about propulsion as drawing but i hope for codlag system, eventhough i know the fact they would go for cogag. Just because some old minded people looks with hesitate
