Thats really Tragic.

The culprit who made it happened must be hanged.

Dont know much details about it, but I hope the cricketer gets well soon

he is already discharged for the hospital mate. he is just fine, I hope that at the Governmental level, both the Indian and Pakistani side have waited and analysed the situation and not like some dick heads jumping on either side of the fence

.
i dont get why indian members are apologetic. it was clearly an accident. he drank the housekeeper's solution and the pakistani media (just like the fake wikileaks) turned it into acid

If he drank acid, he would be dead by now

and what the hell was an housekeepers solution doing on a breakfast table? and that also of a partially/full blind people table?? Humduillah i've stayed in many big hotels and housekeeping staff is not allowed to enter the serving area....but in this case i guess housekeeping solution was on the menu for the players....

The Bollywood-ization of Pakistan - thestar.com

LAHORE, Pakistan–Sana Khan is engrossed in preparing for her wedding, planned for mid-December.

She's made the rounds of most designer shops in Lahore, checked out the city's jewellers and has begun a regimen of soothing facials and body massages, guaranteed to make her glow on the big day.

But Khan, 26, who works as an advertising executive and earns about $650 per month, still has to do the most important part of her bridal shopping – a trip to India.

"I am planning to buy at least 50 per cent of my dowry from Delhi and Jaipur," she said, giggling with joy at the prospect of a shopping spree in India. "I may even order my bridal there."

Humaira Khawaja, 27, whose brother recently got married in Lahore, has a word of advice for Khan: one trip may not be enough, since she made three trips to India before her brother's wedding.

"All our clothes came from India," said Khawaja, who works with her father at his carpet factory. "All the clothes we gave the bride were Indian, her jewellery came from India and all of our clothes – meaning my sister, nieces, mother – also came from India."

Her reason for preferring merchandise from across the border is simple: "Their workmanship and design elements are so much better than ours. We are nowhere close to them," she said.

Cultural expert and short-story writer Afra Bukhari says Pakistanis are eager to imitate the Indians because they are progressing at a faster rate than us.

"Their economy is doing better than ours, their political situation is more stable than ours and they are held in greater esteem by the rest of the world," said Bukhari. "We believe imitating them would help us do better too."

But event manager Ayesha Meezan says sometimes the urge to imitate goes too far.

"We often get couples eager to get the Devdas look for their weddings (Devdas is a popular Indian film based on an epic tale of love)," she said. "They're not even willing to consider a theme more indigenous to Pakistan."

But Khan has turned a blind eye to politics and tradition.

"Whatever is going on between the two countries won't affect my decision to go to India to shop, and neither should it."

The captain of the Pakistan cricket team for the blind, Zeeshan Abbasi was admitted to Bangalore’s M S. Ramiah hospital early in Saturday morning after he was apparently served contaminated water at breakfast. While the Pakistan team management said the water was contaminated with 'cleaning acid', the hotel management claimed it was diluted soap solution. Mr Abassi’s condition is now stable though he will remain under observation in the hospital for a few more hours.

Speaking to the media, Pakistan team manager Bilal Satti said, “We arrived at 7 am for breakfast in the hotel – these water bottles were the brand we have been using through our visit. It appears that there was some cleaning acid in the bottle. It so happened that the captain drank the water – it could have been any of the players who consumed the contaminated the wate

doctors at the hospital said Mr Abassi complained of soreness in the throat and was rushed to the emergency and an endoscopy was done. The results of the endoscopy were normal but Mr Abassi will also be examined by an ENT specialist and kept for observation. According to hospital sources there is as yet no confirmation of the exact substance Mr Abassi consumed.

At a press conference Ms Neha Gairola, Senior Food and Beverage Manager of the Movenpick hotel said Mr Abassi had consumed 'diluted soap solution' which had 'ínadvertantly' been left on the table by the cleaning staff. She said the services of the person responsible had been terminated

I dont know what my media said but i am replying to claims of Indians and your members said since all bottles look same and the one was in fridge so it was mistaken for water.

Now TheHINDU said it was diluted soap solution left on his table by the Indian hotel employee and he is terminated.

This is silly to terminate the poor soul instead of following cleaning rules in all good hotels which as far as i know do NOT come for cleaning when you are about to take breakfast.
