What's new

Pakistan will soon get the J-10B

Guys,

We were told that Pakistanis will be dropping churns by the mid of November. We are entering into the last week of november now.. are there any updates on that "Churns Dropping" deal ?
Yeah so u have an almost confirmed news of JF17 BLKII with Aesa ........isnt it a good news .................

Well if Pakistan is expecting 36 J10B fighters in January 2014, well likely we should be hearing about trials on our 36 fighters starting as the news post stated end of 2012 ...

2013 - would probably be used to do flight tests and hand over , I wonder if we would get additional training for our pilots prior to hand over next year

Likely in Nov they would announce that 36 fighters are ready for deliver some where Mid 2013-late 2013
would not be suprised if August 2013 would be a potential hand over ceremony or Big announcement

Time Line

Now 2012 Feb .....

......
.....December 2012 , 2 Chinese AWACS deliveries for Pakistan Airforce
...

Nov 2012 Feb .... J10B planes will be going flight test around 2013 AESA enabled

........

August 2013 .....1 squadron will be announced ready for 14th august , 2013
2 squadron will be announced for January 1st 2014

I dont honestly know what our current finances will allow. Secondly we have to see to what extent the new block of the Thunder is improved over the last one. If the improvements are substantial and the plane performs better than before is there merit in buying more J10s or getting some more MLUed F16s to last us till 2020. At that time we will probably jump the gun and go for J2X or J20. The other alternative is to allow China to develop J10Bs a bit more and then order a mature platform in 2014. In either case the interim has to be F16s most likely Bl 15s but if luck works our way then some more bl52sor older C and Ds. Again we are dependant on the will of Uncle Sam, but it is a marriage of convenience which may suit both sides. The advantage of going down this route are obvious.

Looking at the ROAD MAP of THE indian modernisation plan built on a massive SU30MKI fleet and a very large order of RAFALE mmrca it WILL require a VERY BIG ORDER of FC20 fighters and not just 36 FOR SURE.

Regarding more F16s these are clearly inferior to mmrca rafale and prone to usa sanctions at any time.

THIS FC20 J10B just makes MASSIVE SENSE in large nos

36 is not absolute. numbers of j-10's can go up to 150 + initially

Pakistan Air Force: 36 on order (As of February 2011[update]) for delivery in 2012, with an eventual requirement for 150 .[4]

We have option of 150 J10B after we get our J10B 36 squadrons so don't worry we have enough plan to take care of any MISADVENTURE
