It is nearly impossible for PAF get F-35 before 2030

F-35 order by now

Australia 100unit
Canada 80 unit
USAF 1763 unit
USAN 340 unit
USA marine 340 unit
Israel 25 unit + 50 option
Italy 131 unit
Norway 48 unit
Holland 85 unit
UK 138 unit
Turkey 116 unit

Lockheed Martin plan build 300 F-35 per year in next decade, and then F-35 will start sales to non-partner country. There are a lot wealthy country compete with Pakistan like Japan /Korean /Brazil. They can pay a lot more and close political tie with US.

Estimated demand of F35 is 600 per year for next ten years. How you know the about plan of 300 per year?

Common bro, its simple logic no rocket science.

If we keep ourself stickin to US. we'll surely get F-35s not only this but also F-22s for WOETT (War On Extraterrestrial Terrorists) in 2040. When US and its allies will opt for F-355 SpaceBOLt and F-2222 Galactic Raptor.:cheesy::pakistan::usflag:

------------------------ While ------------------------

the other more practical & possible solution would be to work on our economy and be partners in projects with China, such as J-XX:pakistan::china:

China dont have stealth technology , day dreaming is not good habbit:lol:

No body was born with lessons on stealth technology in this world, and stealth in not a that big deal, its the cost and the need which is keeping nations from developing it. And by the way, how are you so sure about China's capabilities !!

Who is watching dreams here, ME !!!
Even that way, my dream is still more realistic and practical!!

Wake up !!!!!:woot:

A Hong Kong daily reports (via the Kyunghyang Shinmun) that the 4th-generation stealth fighters currently being developed by China are based on technology obtained through research of the wreckage of an American F-117A that was shot down during the Kosovo campaign of 1999.

The Chinese hope to deploy then new J-14 fighters sometime around 2015.

The paper reported that the Chinese were able to acquire U.S. Air Force stealth technology after years of study of wreckage of an F-117A shot down by the Serbians during the NATO bombing campaign to end the Kosovo conflict. The Chinese were able to obtain the wreckage through their Serb allies, it said.

Source!!

Still u proved urself that Chinese engineers have already extracted some knowledge already out of thisv and they have been working on it from years!!

Now the point is, there are still more possibilities of China developing a 5th gen comparable plane than US offering us F-35s, forget offering, they won't even sell us if we pay more than the price!!

So China developing a 5th gen plane still holds more ground than US giving Pakistan their F-35s.

China dont have stealth technology , they are dependent on Russians , they are working on fifth generation fighter but it will need minimum 15 years ,they are at conceptual stage :D

Can we wait for 15 years ?????

First China's military capabilities and now you precisely know of what level of development they are at!!!

Can we wait for 15 years ?????

Now for the second bit, WHY WOULD WE WAIT FOR SOMETHING THAT WE DON'T NEED!!

SOMETHING WE CAN'T AFFORD
SOMETHING NO ONE IS GONNA SELL US, LET ALONE GETTING IT DONATED

We are not going to raise squadrons after squadrons of these birds, because we can't afford even 2 of them. We should rather buy more of other stuff like f-16, j-10bs and invest our skills, time & funds in upgrading thunders.

We need to make a strong defense. Our primary concern is defending our borders against our old rival India!! (not invading India)

Neither just because it has a single engine means it fits PAF doctrine nor are we oil rich sheiks to buy fancy toys just for the heck of it.

Also, for so much of money we can buy better planes like EF, US doesn't let us get our hands on hornets, so forget eagles and then let alone F-35s.

F-35 factory: One aircraft per day by 2016

F-35 factory: One aircraft per day by 2016

BWT USAAF will only receive 35 units F-35 in 2010. PAF cannot get F-35 before 2030 is not a agreesive estimation. The three country I mentioned above will order hunderds unit easily. Their GDP is top 15 range.

Regarding with stealth technology, you better have a read about current SAC chief engineer profile, he enter stealth division of former Aerospace Department of the PRC in 1986(now Aerospace Department of the PRC is the holding entity of SAC/CAC/XAC/14 institution etc.)

PRC start study F-22 technology in 1989 after its first flight, and by end of 1990s the 4th generation project officially launched.

Compare with ATF project time frame

concept study 1981
design start 1986
YF-22 first flight 1989
F-22 first flight 1997
In service 2005

There is no suprise if PRC can introduce J-xx around 2020

2010 Pentagon Spending Request | National Priorities Project

qoute from above

Aircraft – As previously announced by Secretary Gates, the request includes no funding for additional F-22 or C-17 aircraft. The request includes $1.2 billion for 9 of the Navy’s F/A-18E/F “Super Hornet,” $2.7 billion for procurement of 35 V-22 “Osprey” tilt-rotor aircraft, and $10.4 billion for 30 F-35 Joint Strike Fighters. It also includes $440 million for the Air Force’s KC-X new aerial re-fueling tanker program, with the intent to solicit bids this summer.

Realise how much you need to pay to equip 1 F-35. Of course, I don't think chinese can make it any cheaper.

That make no sense. If cost is preventing other countries from developing their own 'stealth' aircrafts, then 'something' must be the cause of that cost. May be that 'something' is that 'big deal'?

Offence is best Defence , it will be most stupid strategy if you plan only to defend you boarders , you should have capability to do surgical strikes , read 1965 and 1971 Pak India War for growth of your vission.

In 1965 our Air force had superior fighter plans than IAF.

4th generation fighter could not target F35 so it is our decision we need Air force or not?

Yes, you can continue war with your enemy for many years because you have strategic depth in Afghanistan but you can not win the war with out strong Air force .

Good luck Muhammad Yahya and PAF!

J-XX is an imaginary concept just like dozens of other fanboy concepts that keep popping every week. Remember,
Rule #1 : No Prototype, No Plane.
