"With options for more". The 4 are obtained for trials and mission critical troop transport and airlift support on an emergency basis. The Russians are evaluating the most recent deliveries to the Russian military, so to transfer used (like new) heli's to Pakistan ASAP. The next order in the future will be built from scratch at the manufacturing facilities.

Hi,

Actually a sqdrn strength of 18 will work perfectly---. The thing with this type of helicopter is that once you get used to its UTILITY----it is very difficult to go for something else---and specially---Pakistan's environment is extremely suitable for this aircraft.

It basically is tailor made for what Pakistan needs for its fight against terrorism----.

Yup, no doubt it's the best for counter terrorism and also much needed for special forces. It can provide a massive firepower. Good purchase

Vipers are equal to Apache if not better as for MI-35 they are mainly for special forces

hahaha ... actually MI-35 was never evaluated as main stay gunship... it has different role... Vippers are also not going to be main stay gunships.... we are pretty much settled on Wz-10 as our modern gunship acquisition.

Russia is notoriously slow in its sales and spare parts supply chain. So its better to start with 4 helos and monitor their performance. Having said that there is a huge eastern European market for spares for this type.
