What's new

Pakistan orders Dutch OPV (1,900 tons, 90 m). To be built at KSEW

.
PN can also go for following solution.

The shore based systems and sea based system already in place plus new system/launcher capable of accommodating /firing both anti ship and land attack being developed the only diff is it's not Russian

Who knows what else is it there

The only good thing in this concept is you can load it on civilian tankers as well

I never said about purchasing Russian system it about implementing the concept Russians have developed.

.
we need a proper strategy and long term planning for navy with clever usage of our current and up coming procurement right now its too much happening in quick time within the navy ,pmsa and cost guards .
may be we need to divide navy in to two different commands and combine pmsa and cost guards specially with gawardar coming operational we cant just keep worrying about india only we will have to keep our hand on Iranians throat as well . TOO many suppliers might create a similar issue like we have got with our helicopters where we got too many different types of helicopters from different suppliers .

. .
What is the role of an OPV. Should it be armed with anti ship and anti air missiles. What about torpedos etc. Can it carry armed helicopter for anti sub and/ or anti ship missiles.

Is PN planning to armed them with any quality of defensive weapons to control sea lines of communication?

.
Do we know yet what ship is it going to be ?

. . . . . .
A different design will take me some time to accept this ship
