Pakistan navy deploys Chinese C-602 cruise missile

ANTI SHIP boly to jhaaz ko marny wala nhi bhai :enjoy::tup: wo patla missile :-)

Still doesn't answer why wouldn't PN use Babur, instead of this import?
simply ? we have harpoons and Exocet both ASM why ? its not allowed to use two systems same time ? babur is some 700km range while this baby is 280km range babur is not yet ever ready for navy while this baby is in service since 2011 .

.
In future PN may be provided with dual role Babar CM (LA/AS) similar to Tomahawk CM because this purchase will allow our scientist access to more knowledge.

Well you do not produce exocet ot Harpoons, both are imports, whereas Babur is claimed to be made in pakistan. So it is intriguing that you would import a system marred by MCTR but not use your own system which is supposed to have better potency

can be said 100 indian made products same so why indian force buy ? ? and one most important thing babur is not anti-ship missile

. . .
Coz they are working on a naval version already and because we dont have $$$$? what about yakhont.. oops i meant brahmos? still stuck at under 300km coz of MTCR?
Officially , yes 290KMS precise...

Mating a tercom missile with a shaped charge Warhead, (which already has "pinpoint" accuracy) is more expensive than importing this system from china... Good to know...

You were answered but you just choose to ignore logical replies/explanations. No offence but I have noticed it to be a general trend with Indians here, one can explain with all logic but they just keep repeating the same thing over and over.
Any Idea about the price of this missile?

Im sorry did you read "under development" part? N yes C-602 probably is cheaper than a 750+ km ranged Cruise missile... with a 1000+ km ranged naval version under development,

One does not develop system one you just need 120 odd examples, you won't achieve economy of scale and on top you would have overheads such as RnD cost. And an ASCM is not just a cruise missile with a different guidance system, one would also need to develop targeting and search radars and other related components, it's just not viable to invest in all that when your requirement is just for a couple of hundred.

Let me predict, you'll repeat the same question again somewhere down in this thread.

Why so defensive, i just asked the price of the missile, if any idea.

Pakistan ordered about 120 C-602 anti-ship cruise missiles from China back in 2009. The first batch of the missiles, enough to equip a company, were delivered in 2011. After personnel completed training on using the missiles, the Pakistani government said that the C-602s have already been deployed to frontline naval units. The missiles were purchased to provide a countermeasure to India's BrahMos supersonic cruise missile, which has a range of 290 kilometers.

A 0.8 mach missile to counter BrahMos?

I was replying to your main argument, a recycle of the same thing that you were saying previously:

"Mating a tercom missile with a shaped charge Warhead, (which already has "pinpoint" accuracy) is more expensive than importing this system from china... Good to know..."

As for price, I don't know. Maybe it would be on sipri. Btw tercom can't be used for an ascm but you already knew that.

Very interesting, so converting babur to Anti ship will take development, but you claim that Yakhont which is an antiship missile was converted to CM, SLCM and ALCM with a "software change"- Brilliant Logic. What else can I say

Im sorry but when the heck did tht happen?

Russian made Yakhont already had those capabilities... you cant even copy them in time i guess?

Meanwhile the whole world calls it a license produced Yakhont ... even the russian .. your so called "partners" ...

As for Babur its naval/Sub Launched version is under development hence you see the new cannisters n the vertical launch...

Missiles dont counter missiles nor dies this thread has anything to do with a downgraded russia (indian license produced) yakhont...
