Pakistan must MORE Naval forces ASAP

I think we need some 4-5 Type-214 Submarines, they can be very effective for us, as for frigates, F-22p is a nice one, sure we need some more, Actually the thing is, we have our own limitations and we better know what we have to do and when..

Pakistani military planners are still on for Minimum deterrence which we are maintaining now, although I don't like this minimum deterrence because as per our capacity, we can build a very large Armed Forces within couple of years, we have the resources, there just needs to be a good government, soon Insh'ALLAH!

Indian Brahmos are very Potent weapon systems against any Frigates or destroyers Pakistan buy..Pakistan Navy has always had Defensive strategy instead of Offensive...Navy got loads of missile boats, more than enough to defend Pakistani coasts.
To invest in warships Pakistan may have money but its not a worthy investment when PAF can do athe attack at less cost..Thats why you see Pakistan has swarms upon swarms of Mirages specially modified for Attack at sea.

Exactly!

Pakistan, as of today, has little leeway as far as defence expenditure is concerned. Whatever money Pakistan has is just about enough to maintain a decent army and air force.

Navy is a luxury on which Pakistan can little afford to splurge.

Pakistan can invest in further defense technologies, such as Anti submarine warfare..If Pakistan can have strong defenses against submarines, that includes satellite based or aircraft based detection..Pakistan can search and destroy an enemy country;s nuclear deterrant..As we know most countries now dont build Missile silos, instead the have nuclear subs with Nuclear missiles as their second strike deterrent.

we do hav mmonies bout our politicians r eating them instead of purchasing defence goodies like fighter jets UAV UCAV refulers transporters Frigate destroyers subs helicopters Tanks artillery MLR and Airdefence missiles radars etc instead they love eating girls and drinks GOD when this goverment is getting to end Save my pakistan and indians dont have any rights to worry about our money problems

Safriz, Can you tell us your thought how Pakistan Navy respond to BrahMos missiles ?

I think Pakistan Navy would be more afraid of Indian Anti Ship Missiles rather than a cruise missile like Brahmos.

This paise hain post makes me laugh, india receives about a billion pounds in aid, from the UK every year. This indian hubris is just priceless and totally adorable. LoL

Pakistan is certainly trying. F22Ps and OHPs might not be top of the line stuff but they are still a considerable step forward. I think a submarine deal must be made at this point since the german one went under. Also looking at recent posts the Milgem deal may still be active and something could be signed after the last F22P comes in. There is also the possibility OHPs may see a Genesis CMS upgrade coming in and that could make them quite effective inline with more modern ships.

The navy is coming along nicely though 2 frigate classes are being brought in at the same time so progress is being made quite quick.

The Aegis system can deal with the Brahmos probably. I don't know the chances of the US selling it though. Does china have a comparable system?? If not Pakistan should look into co-developing something similar with China.
In the coming years I think the pakistan navy would be more worried about the future hypersonic version of the Brahmos. If it comes close to the delivered specs its gonna be tough to deal with it.

Aegis is more of an ABM system than a CIWS system. So count Aegis out as the SM3 missiles are too costly...hell it is costlier than the Bhramos. The best weapon system that the US has against the Bhramos is the ESSM (Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile)

You must think in the context of Pakistani navy here not the US Navy. Pakistan dosent have the ships of the size of destroyers that can carry and support Aegis Missile defence systems nor carry the SM-3. So the best bet for Pakistan would be to get the ESSM or any other ship based LLQRM.
