I know money is a key issue, but buying the F22 frigate seems like a complete waste of time, the 054 is more potent, the current F-22frigates can only fire the C802 anti shipe missile which is subsonic and can be shotdown easily. the bagladesh navy acquire the 054 and its more potent then the chai walala F22.

china is no russia. they will do whats best for pakistan. the type 22 is more stealthy than the azmat , not to mention faster and more steady on the seas im not sure but hold a bit more weapons too.

On topic, both navies may share more on asset plan to promote synergy & interoperability. We know PLAN is still severely under-capacity on 052D/055 class DDG and 054A/B class frigate, it might not have additional room to help PN in these classes of ships. However PN might consider taking over (not leasing) some earlier classes DDG that are currently under refitting/modernisation. Here are the 6 classes of DDG for PN's consideration, 17 ships:

• 956/956EM (4 in this class, now refitting)
• 051B (1 only, pennant #167, now refitting)
• 051C (2 in this class, pennant #115, #116, to be refitted)
• 052 (2 in this class, pennant #112, #113, to be refitted)
• 052B (2 in this class, pennant #168, #169, now refitting)
• 052C (6 in this class, apparently PLAN has accepted a fair quantity of this class, though yet to be refitted)

That will simplify PLAN logistics, while adding new good assets to PN, a mutually beneficial arrangement.

Hisar-U is a dissapointment for me. 120 km is too short. In comparison to CAFRAD capabilities up to 600 NM it is too less. I at least expected an ASTER - 30 capability and 160 km range.
My dream is ASTER 30 Block 2 with 3000 km range which is in concept phase.

The NT is on the roadmap to the Aster (30) Block 2, which would intercept weapons that have a range of 3,000 kilometers.

I hope the above clarifies that the Aster 30-Blk2 will NOT have a range of 3,000kms, but the capability to intercept incoming missiles who have a range of 3,000kms.

KSA and gulf states are also very closer to Pak... But brother the secterian/political war being played in ME will have very dangerous repercussions ... Pakistan has excellent relations with Gulf but Iran is our neighbour ... I fear that the shyt hitting the fan in our neighbourhood might spread to our counties (Pak & Turkiye)...
Iran & KSA should negotiate for peace.. Replace Asshead,exterminate Daesh etc...

Daesh I believe was created thanks to US invasion .. The disbanding of Saddams army (Baathist officers who lead daesh now),the Shia govt of Iraqs policies,foreign (gulf and Western funding and weapons)... Iranian are only supporting their influenced dictators in Iraq and Syria...

My family has both Shia and Sunni . Im secular and not very religious (but a firm believer) and I love my country .. Which has already suffered a lot since the past 15 years... And I want this fuking war to be over !
