Pakistan Denies Operation in N. Waziristan

did they issue any fatwa regards terrorist and their actions?

No, they will never issue such kind of Fatwa....

In my view the giving fatwa should be regarded as offence by amending the constitution.

I am having doubts now whether this operation should be conducted or not. The US is clearly letting hundreds of Afghan terrorists infiltrate inside Pakistan, not tackling the terrorist sanctuaries in Northern Afghanistan, & working out a transfer of power with the very same terrorists that are infiltrating inside Pakistan & are a threat to Pakistan. It is time to stop any such operations, & pushing back the Afghan terrorists into Afghanistan, where they came from. Afghanistan will have to suffer the brunt of these activities, but they should be the ones dealing with their own fellow Afghan terrorists, not Pakistan. Time for Pakistan to support the Haqqani network & push all the terrorists in Afghanistan to fight the NATO & US Forces. This kind of betrayal from the NATO/US Forces should be handled with appropriately.

let the army decide that, i hope they take the right step

This situations have much changed now, most of the leading scholars today support Military Ops against TTP, ignore these jahil Mullahs..

Take the example of Sunni Ittehaad Council, their fatwas against TTP and in support of Pakistan Army.

or jaise masoon pakistanio ko qatal-aam sawab ka kaam hai .....

This is detailed analysis of these TTP Terrorists in the light of Hadith, someone please show this to these jahil Maulvis...

This explains well about those Martyrs who will die fighting these people, unlike the Jahil Mullah's fatwa, those Martyrs will be one of the highest ranked Martyrs infront of ALLAH swt.

and these liberals are the biggest cause we are in this situation today, copying west, copying the americans, dacing on american tunes etc, what have these ulemas done???, arent we now saying that pns mehran attack has american, indian or foreign hands are these the same mullhs who are not starting to investigate on 2nd may abottabad attack or navy attacks??

these same liberals were saying, yeah, drone attacks are justified, and killing those terrorists is justified, but what happened later

i dont understand, why americanism acts to create hatred among pakistanis, i mean who is the biggest benefactor here??, are ulemas the benefactors???

yes thats why pakistan army is not taking action against TTP in north waziristan

Everyone knows these so called ulemas have their children studying and living well off in EU and USA. Their loyalities can be bought with some halwa poori or green back!

With perverted sermons like this, these fake ulemas are the prime instigator of violence and master mind behind them. Once egypt was mired in a situation very similar to ours. Until anwar sadat decided to put all ulemas on a ship and sink it off the coast..then it became peaceful.

Pakistan is seen readying attack on North Waziristan: WSJ

Pakistan appears to be making preparatory moves for an attack on North Waziristan, a tribal region that has become a base for Afghan Taliban militants, amid pressure from the U.S.
Such an invasion, one of the U.S.'s core demands on Pakistan to help stamp out the Taliban insurgency in neighboring Afghanistan, could still be months away and limited in scope, if it happens at all. But signs are emerging that Pakistan is moving to prepare the field for some kind of incursion into a region that has become a melting pot of al Qaeda and Taliban militants.
The U.S. has made an attack on Afghan Taliban factions in North Waziristan, especially the deadly Haqqani network, one of its chief goals in Pakistan. U.S. officials have applied greater pressure for action following the killing in May of al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden by U.S. Navy SEALs in a raid on his compound in a Pakistani army garrison town only three hours by car from Islamabad.
A senior Pakistani army general last week told tribal leaders in Kurram, a region that borders North Waziristan, that forces were planning an attack on Taliban militants in their region, said tribal leaders who were present.
Such a move in Kurram would strengthen the army's presence on the edge of North Waziristan and help prepare for military action there.
'An action in North Waziristan is now required,' said Mahmood Shah, a former army brigadier and defense analyst, who added that an operation in Kurram 'could be one of the many preparatory moves the government has to carry out.'
Residents of North Waziristan said the army also has been shutting checkpoints on roads across the mountainous region in recent weeks.
Such a move, local tribal leaders said, could signal the army is giving up control of roads in the area but consolidating its positions ahead of some kind of military action.
Gen. Athar Abbas, the army's chief spokesman, said he didn't have knowledge of the general's remarks on Kurram. He denied a report in a Pakistani newspaper Monday that the army would soon launch an invasion of North Waziristan.
Adm. Michael Mullen, chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, said Monday in a U.S. television interview that he was encouraged about reports of potential Pakistan action in North Waziristan.
'It's a very important fight and a very important operation,' the Associated Press quoted him as saying.
Pakistan's army has said for some time that it plans to attack North Waziristan but is stretched fighting other militants, mainly local fighters known as the Pakistan Taliban, in other parts of the tribal regions.
U.S. officials complain the Pakistani army, for the past three years, has focused on fighting Pakistan Taliban militants but continues to allow Afghan Taliban fighters to use its soil to launch attacks on U.S. troops across the border. Pakistan sees its links with these fighters as a hedge against the influence of India, its historical rival, in Afghanistan, U.S. officials said.
Others believe Pakistan is unlikely to take on the Haqqanis in a full-blown offensive. Muhammad Amir Rana, director of the Pakistan Institute for Peace Studies, an Islamabad-based think tank, said he believes an operation will happen but may target Pakistan Taliban at first, with limited strikes on Haqqani fighters later.
Some U.S. defense officials agree that Pakistan's overstretched military is in no position to take on the Haqqani network. The Haqqanis are believed to have 4,000 to 5,000 fighters and are primarily focused on fighting U.S. forces in eastern Afghanistan. There, they have proved a resilient and determined foe that has managed to sustain itself in the face of major efforts by U.S. regular and special forces to wear them down.
'These guys are world class,' said a senior U.S. military officer. They engage in live-fire training and drill work that is comparable to that of a real army, and they 'give us a lot of trouble on the Afghan side. It's not like we're just rolling right over them.'The officer and others said one of their major concerns is a Pakistani offensive that fails, leaving the Haqqanis in an even stronger and more confident position. 'It wouldn't be good for any of us if Pakistan tries and fails. No one wants to see Pakistan lose to these guys.'
Pakistan also is facing stepped up attacks from the Pakistan Taliban following bin Laden's death. The group killed 69 army recruits in a double suicide bombing in the northwest of the country in mid-May. Last week, militants laid siege to a naval base in Karachi for 15 hours, killing 10 security personnel. Four militants died in the battle.
The bombing of militant positions in North Waziristan by U.S. Central Intelligence Agency-operated drones has forced Haqqani and Pakistan Taliban fighters to seek shelter in Kurram and Orakzai, another tribal region, military officials said. Pakistan previously declared victory against Pakistan Taliban militants in Orakzai, only to see them return to set up bases there.
On Tuesday, Pakistani fighter jets killed at least 16 suspected Pakistan Taliban militants in an attack on Mamoozai, a town in the Orakzai tribal region, a local military official said. (The Wall Street Journal)

Well Did they issue any fatwa regards Mullah Rapes 10 year kid , or Taliban , or any Khudkash ? Pakistan should draw the line now, and bomb the fukng Talibans....

That`s obviously the goal of the US, they are hell bent on pushing and bribing the `democratic` political institutions and handful of military elite to go against the tribals in order to create another theatre of civil war in the region...

Enemies within have been created through this war. AQ nor Taliban never posed threat to Pak, but now with the Help of US presence in Afg, they have been pushed inside Pak deliberately to create another theatre of war...You would be very very naive to believe otherwise...

I would be quite relieved if the militants somehow get rid of this necessantly corrupt political leadership standing on our democratic institutions and bleeding tax payers :bunny:

Run your country? All indications are that you can't at all. You don't even have control over what you claim is your country.

The same can be said about the US or any country in the world. With all the high-tech gadgets and military power, why can`t the US stop mexican illegal immigrants sneaking in and the drug traffickers?

Here we go again, same old same old excuses and failure to act against the violent bloody terrorists inside Pakistan. I think our US Congress should now freeze funds for the military of Pakistan as a counter measure to such cowardace.

These countrymen of yours need your money more than we do. All we want from you Yankees is to stop your aid to Pakistan and stick it wherever you want & and get the **** out of our country.
