Pakistan Denies Operation in N. Waziristan

which gov???????? jokers group ? IF THEY HAVE BALLS FIRST ORDER TO STOP DRONES AND NATO CHOPPERS SHOT DOWN ORDERS.

Here we go again, same old same old excuses and failure to act against the violent bloody terrorists inside Pakistan. I think our US Congress should now freeze funds for the military of Pakistan as a counter measure to such cowardace.

From DAWN, front page, Thursday, June 2, 2011

USA should intensify its drone attacks and Osama like operation against terrorists. And should station at least 25% of its present force in Afghanistan permanently while transferring its supplies from gwadar port and russia.

It was Mullen/Clinton & other Americans giving out statements of a North Waziristan operation, not Pakistan. So I don't see anything wrong with what the Lt-General said. We all know the kind of statements the American authorities like giving out about Pakistan.

Pakistan to launch operation in N. Waziristan

By Javed Aziz Khan

2011-03-14

PESHAWAR – The Pakistani military has deployed 20,000 troops to North Waziristan in preparation for a major operation in the troubled agency, media reported.

Preparations for a grand operation in the area are in the final stages, while authorities are arranging to accommodate those who are likely to migrate as a result of the operation, Dawn reported.

Two Frontier Corps wings have also been deployed in North Waziristan, reports said.

“To facilitate (accommodation of) around 500,000 tribesmen who are likely to be displaced, the FATA Disaster Management Authority has been directed to make arrangements in coordination with the world bodies,” Dawn said.

Those leaving their homes are likely to be accommodated in Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu and nearby districts.

Inaction against the Haqqani network will definitely give more ammunition to those in congress who want to stop funding to Pakistan. It also lends more credence to the idea that Pakistan is protecting the Afghan Taliban. Now let me ask you this, if this is the case and Pakistan is protecting them. Then doesn't the U.S. have the right to go after them in Pakistan. Since the Pakistan Government refuses to act against them? After all if they are shielding terrorists then how can they hide under guise of sovereignty?

You are struggling in Afghan why would you move to another theater when you have not established full spectrum dominance in your current operations, and this is so like Vietnam, Cambodia it's not even funny.

Military operation in North Waziristan should be launched keeping in view ground realities.

ML-Q’s provincial president Amir Muqam said that the operation should be conducted while keeping in view the ground realities rather than on the directions of America.

while talking to media he said that there were rumours about military operation in North Wasiristan but niether political parties agreed to it nor the Parliament had given consent; so it should be avoided. After PPP-PML-Q alliance Rehman Malik hardly needs to make frequent visits to Nine Zero, he added.

He made it clear that in future if they succeeded in solving the problems of common man, they would stay in the government.

While showing regret over retirement of Shahid Khan Aafridi, he urged the Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani to bring him back in the team.

If they want a new operation in NW, we do not want their Aid or help. All we want them to do is bring over as many American citizens as the people who will be displaced by the operation and put them in NW as well. Those American citizens will live and bear the consequences of the operation with the IDP's, and would be free to go back home when the US deems it fit to end the military offensive in NW.

My man, first off, the myth of Pakistan getting billions and billions of Dollars in Aid has been deflated many times. Please go through the forum to update yourself. Secondly up till now Pakistan has incurred loss of over $50 Billion fighting this WoT. Travel through the Highway network of Pakistan and you'll see the severe damage the containers carrying supplies for NATO have caused. Thirdly, most of the High Value targets of AQ were either captured directly or with the help of Pakistani security Apparatus. Pakistan has taken more human casualties-- military or civilians while fighting this WoT. So NO, not by any standards have the Americans done more for us than we have done for them.

I am so glad to see people realizing that we do not NEED the aid, we WANT it. It is not something that we cannot survive without. Refusing to live off others money is the first step towards self-reliance. The next stop should be to man up and turn things around for the better.

Regrettably, Pakistan today has the same worldwide economic depression, high levels of unemployment, etc, etc. and cannot float it's own boat, let alone defend it's own Navy base in Karachi from infiltrators and inside jobbers.

Pakistan must move toward, not away from, forward toward more democracy and separate religion from civil government, as has been done in Bangladesh.

Otherwise the several separatist tribes who want Pakistan to fail and disintegrate will get their wish.

Your enemies within are substantial and physically intent on killing off all democratic leadership if given the chance.

A boy in Canada living in a free democracy has no idea how bad things are inside Pakistan today.
