SSG boys have some pretty decent plate carriers and helmets. My cousin in SSG recently posted a picture in a modern looking plate carrier and a MICH high-cut helmet with integrated comms and woodland camouflage cover. The spec ops guys tend to field the newest personal kits and weapons first: their op tempo dictates that they are in the perfect position to test gear issued to them. It then trickles down to the conventional army. Of course, this is a generalisation and does not stand true in all cases, but my point is: the SSG is in the process of modernising and even among their ranks you will see high-cut helmets vying for space with the old PASGT type helmets, plate carriers overtaking the iconic blackhawk tactical vest, short barreled M4s alongside the older, longer barrelled M4s, and everyone seems to be sporting Oakley/Mechanix tactical gloves (though these might be personally bought rather than standard issue idk).

This mismatch in gear is to be expected at the moment, but expect to see much more uniformity in "tacticool" dressing and weapons in SSG around five years down the line: all that older gear I mentioned had been very common even as recently as 2015. If we didn't have budgetary constraints, nothing would have stopped us from looking like Western SOF or maybe the Turkish SAT right now, though perhaps minus the Multicam: it's a cool camo but woodland ranks no. 1 in my book. Right now the next changes I hope to see are: side-rail mounted ear protection and radio for each individual commando (maybe just in Zarrar to start with) and integrated knee-pads and elbow-pads for trousers and shirts.

Bahrain is small country with total force of couple of thousand but very close to pak

SSG performing very well these days.
Back in the day their displays only consisted of jumping through hoops of fire etc.

Maybe you are referring to the "Impact Ear Pro" peltar headset
They also work with MICH low cut helmets.
