How much would be the cost of fencing 2600 km long durand line? Even if the border is some how fenced, it would end up in afghan scrap market.

Agree mining is not the right solution. But as long as we provide sanctuaries for Afghan Taliban in Pakistan, they are going to reply in the same coin. Lets not kid ourselves, even our military knows that the Afghans would not help us. But we will still protest to let the world know that the Afghans are not cooperating with us in fighting terrorism. It is just putting pressure on karzai a.k.a mayor of kabul as he keeps on accusing us for the same.

Two states "A" and "B"
Terrorist from state "A" go into "B".
They terrorize(obviously) , radicalize and intimidate state "B".
State "B" launches offensive.
They run back to state "A". State "A" due to any reason does not take action against them or support state "B" while innocents die.
