Pak not invited to Chicago summit: NATO

Why are people making such a big deal of this? This is a NATO summit, and although Afghanistan will be a major discussion point, it is just one among the many events. In fact this is the only speech directly related to this region:

NATO After Afghanistan: A View from Europe

Over the last two decades, NATO has attempted to redefine itself to become a more flexible and dynamic military alliance. Since joining in 1999, Poland has played a critical role in NATO with regard to enlargement, missile defense, and global operations, including maintaining a current deployment of approximately 2,500 troops in Afghanistan. The conflict in Afghanistan, meanwhile, has proven to be an important milestone in the organization’s evolution. With NATO transitioning its Afghanistan operations and the United States pivoting its strategic focus from the European continent to Asia, what is next for the NATO alliance? Please join The Chicago Council on Global Affairs with His Excellency Radosław Sikorski for a discussion on NATO after Afghanistan.

Also, Afghanistan is a NATO war in which Pakistan reluctantly participates. As such, there is no such commonalities in strategy or commitments from either side. The mutual trust was never at respectable levels and have plummeted since the OBL raid and the Salala incident. And with a good chance that Pakistan may reject the invitation, why would the US even bother? Although many Pakistanis feel this is a reaction to the cutting off of the supply routes, I don't think so. There are many other ways to get around that, and US and Pakistani politicians/generals know all the front and back door tactics of negotiating it.

Lastly, India, Russia and China have nothing to do with NATO or this war. India's rebuilding and diplomatic efforts are independent of American strategy, and is a direct interaction between Indian companies and local governments in Afghanistan. Can't imagine our presence helping this summit in any way.

Well as per Nazam Sethi the Pakistan PM Gilani was getting his suits dry cleaned/ready for back to back tour of USA after UK's.

.
You know what is a great insult for them ? :P Pakistan not opening supply routes despite massive pressure , 6 months it have been ... Perhaps , we do not care what do they try to do ... We will watch with triumphant smile just as USA begs Taliban to negotiate , tries to find a face saving way to exit from the region and unwillingly provide concessions to Russia for the missile defense shield for NDN ...

Are Indians really happy that innocent Pakistanis are being killed ? Showing your true nature ? :azn:

Sanctions are what we need at the moment ... We saw what it did to our economy and military when we were sanctioned before ... It put our country on the right track , some sense went into the head of our politicians ... Also , Iran is an inspiration for us ... The US doesn't want Pakistan to handover a few nukes to Iran and co operate with them in defense , right ?
Come on you feel its an insult for them? Indeed its US who dont care you . Even Obama didnt apologize for the killing of soldiers incident . And with out US help your country would be a free way for terrorists . Your govt/military will not do anything against them and every hour you see a bomb exploding just as in case of Afganisthan .
Assuming sanction are good will seem to be good only when you say .In reality you cant expect easy growth during sanctions .Some day or the other your govt will bow to them . You might soon indegenising things but you will suffer atleast for 2 decades a lot . Mean while netas will be eating what they want and it will still turn you poorer . Its practically impossible for you to transfer nuke tech to Iran . They already ve their own program running and you cant escape US intelligence . They can bribe your own ISI also . I wont wonder if US uses Pakistan as a base to attack Iran .

WHY!? I'm so disappointed.

.
Pakistanis do not have issues with NATO per se.

Pakistan at present is under heavy control of socialists and leftists. So the real target of Paksitani leftards is US of A. These guys in cahoots with Islamsits think America will be humiliated in Afghanistan. So every effort is being done by these guys to push Pakistan into becoming another Iran or North Korea. Sadly this seems more likely with every passing day.

peace.

.
Excellent newz that we not invited within the Chicago summit cuz it won't bring us any good either......:smokin:

.
It is true that NATO & US are desperate for their supplies but this is also true that there is value of Pakistan in the eyes of NATO 7 US thanks to these corrupt bastard jabroni Politicians who have destroyed the reputation of Pakistan completely. Gen. Muharraf had build Pakistan & made Pakistan's economy stronger & what these bastards have done here is they have completely destroyed Pakistan in every possible way yet they say shamelessly they are taking Pakistan forward which in reality means they are taking Pakistan backwards in full speed.

At this time I will only say time for Pakistan Army to step in & get the job done what Gen. Musharraf couldn't do in his time.

Musharaf and his stupidities are precisely the reason we are in this mess. There are many ways of looking at this . i had pointed out as far back as 2007-8 that a lot of the progress we made was on account of spit polishing of the economy. none of the radical decisions that needed to be taken were taken and as a consequence of his stupid NRO we are lumbered with these corrupt people in power today. So please desist from this day dreaming and look at the facts.
As to Pakistan not being invited, well we would not have gone either. We are in a position where we have taken a stand and one which is based on principles. Till the Parlianment decides how things should progress, we are going no where and the routes stay shut.

Indeed it is , despite massive pressure not opening of a supply route which is so vital to them ...
Check the statements of their leaders What counts as an insult when they are literally begging us to open it and we aren't budging up ? ... The Army isn't interested in opening it this time ...
Yeah he didn't apologize , that is the reason why US unwillingly has to provide concessions to Russia :azn:
I can assure you , my Govt and Army is more than capable of handling with terrorist ... We have a better record in the War Against Terrorism compared to them ... The most advanced army in the world cant control the Durand Line and Kabul - spare the rest of Afghanistan ... And you are think they were helping us somehow ... PA has successfully flushed extremist our of South Waziristan , Swat and some other parts of North -West Pakistan ... Most of the terrorist cross the Durand Line and attack our cities and such because of the NATO's inability to control the border ... I know it isn't easy but hey aren't you supposed to be the most powerful and advanced army in the world ? :azn: Just curious , what help is US providing even now to help us deal with the terrorist ? The coalition support fund has been stopped long ago ...

They didn't bow down in 6 months , where's your lot which were telling us how supply route will be opened in a week ?
Why is it practically impossible to transfer nuke tech to Iran ? If you sanction us , do you think we will give a damn **** about international treaties and whether if the US intelligence is watching or not ? :azn:

Bribe ISI ? Was that meant to be a joke ? The intelligence agency which has 0 defectors throughout the history ...

No ! Nobody's providing base to US to attack Iran , Govt has already denied this !

It's just a game of who blinks first, we raised the stakes at Bonn, this is the Americans throwing their entire hand in:

1) Not inviting Pakistan to Chicago.
2) Threatening Sanctions.
3) Passing bills limiting aid supply.
4) Passing remarks against Pakistan in India.

Can't wait for Pakistan's next move......

............. followed by USA's next move, as the game continues, followed by Pakistan's move, followed by ......

That is how it goes of course, nothing is static.

Do you think that the Americans dont want it . I think it is very wishful thinking on the part of Pakistani elites that America is our friends when American history testifies to multiple bouts of treacheries it has dealt us. The fact is that the USA wants to use us and then throw us out like a dirty condom. That is all we are to it. Whether the underlying motives are persuits of power resources in the Central Asian republics, or containment of China or even playing a lacky to the Zionist(NOT JEWISH I WOULD HASTEN TO ACT!!!!)lobby can be debated. But the end seems the same and we are in its way. Sooner or later we will either have to prostitute ourselves again or be trodden down. As a nation we lack the gall to put up a fight.

I can see where you're coming from, but calm down man.

Pakistan has these three choices, just like any other nation: Lead, follow, or get out of the way. Simple, really.

They are not begging you buddy .Its you who will starve if you dont get the aid you are supposed to get . It hurts but its true . Making your people starve and pretending bolder on other side is not an insult to US . Its your poor condition .
Your army has the capability to destroy but you think they are willing to kill them ? You are saying even worlds strongest NATO is unable to control terrorist intrusion . So do you think PA could handle that? Coming to your question who is the one using drone attacks to kill terrorists and save you ? Your netas and army are getting what they want from US under the table .
China wouldnt allow your nuclear tech to transfer to Iran . :tongue:How do you transfer the nuclear tech ? You think its child game? US has its spy systems and intelligence agencies ready . It would be great if you can remove US from/near your nuke research centers , then you can dream of transferring the to US .:P You can dream of tech transfer but Pakistani govt is not foolish as you think to transfer nuke tech .
lol so you will get the information of what ISI is doing? ISI is not an exception in your country where corruption is up every where . Even your military likes US a lot there are many who likes dollars. If US can try its best it can get a base that can be used to attack Iran . It has many switches of yours it can play Balochistan cards ....etc...
