Actually you fail to understand my post. As long as we are changing long term policies. We should sell off Kashmiris and Talibans first. The we should also denuclearize and cut our defence budget to less than 1% of GDP. This will bring us more benefit than recognizing illegal zionist entity.

It's not happening these are trial balloons by some leaders of minor parties on bankroll of US. Then we have some members of Qadiani cult are also on this bandwagon. It takes time but the public reaction will bury this hatchet and reveal traitors among us.

Actually, MOST Arab countries either do not recognize Israel or at least don't have full diplomatic relations. Outside of Turkey not a single Muslim country has deep engaging relationship with Israel.
And...Israel is growing more and more isolated in the world public opinion. There is another article in this Forum where some Israeli is calling upon India to be Israel's strategic ally because, according to the author, the West is abandoning Israel. I think that article is so misguided but it DOES reflect the growing pain in Israel that they are becoming a pariah state even in the eyes of Western public opinion.
Why should Pakistan join this sinking ship especially if profit/loss analysis will reveal that it is in Pakistan's secular interests to not recognize Israel?

PS. While I oppose recognizing Israel at this point I won't call other Pakistanis as 'traitors' if they want to recognize Israel. I think they need to think through the whole situation before salivating at the prospect of 'gains' from the Jewish Lobby in America or of Arms Sale from Israel (hard cash!!). Of course Israelis would welcome even Palau to recognize Israel--it helps in their 'legitimacy'. But the Founder of Pakistan made a decision in 1948 and there is no compelling reason to believe his decision was wrong in 2010.

If the whole world (including Muslim countries) has legalized aggression by accepting Israel as an independent state, then does it make Israel any more legal, any less aggressive?

We could do more to help the Palestinian cause this way then if we just ignore them.

50+ Muslim states have at best managed to knee before Israel's pressure, and there still live optimists that believe Pakistan could make a difference.

How about Israel accepting Pakistan as an independent state, as a good will gesture, first?

You are too ignorant about Pakistani politics. Anti India sentiments have NEVER fetched any vote for anyone in Pakistan.


MMA won because all other political parties disappointed us. Then PML-Q and allies won because MMA disappointed us specially my province people badly hence they hardly won few seats.


Then PPP won because anti-Musharraf sentiments and CJ issue was on peak. similarly we gave chance to secular ANP in KP due to same reason.
