Also, who would you compare the live demos of both Gripen and Thunder?

I am not sure what is meant by SDF. Is it Sino defense forum?

Regarding the comparison between JF17 and JAS39, I would say that the instantaneous turn rate of the former lagged behind a bit. I think that they were evenly (almost) matched in the sustained turn rate. Also, higher alpha passes looked very similar, and so was the climb rate. Overall, it could be said that the two aircraft (both light fighters) had rather comparable characteristics. The main advantage Gripen might have could be in the realm of avionics i.e. better radar, datalink, HOBS capability, EW suite etc. I know a tad bit about the Link17, which to say the least is still in its infancy. I hope the BLK-3 answers the short coming of earlier versions and our bird sharpen its talon even further .
