Very Nice Indeed. Do anyone here has any material about what kind of SAM system PAF used in past and when these systems were commissioned into PAF? little history about our AD network like Radars, AA guns, SAMs...

actually i always feel that this is a field that has been the most neglectd one in past few years and we really lack in it. this is a point of concern for me and i am always willing to learn about it from where ever possible.

Most people don't know this. but it is documented.
Dec 7th 1971 IAF after destroying the runway decided to kill everyone in the squadron with the help of MODC guards, They came that night mostly East Pakistani luckily their attempt failed by the timely detection by the SQD Commander who was himself on guard duty, a gun battle took place and we managed to kill most of them and rest ran away. Long story short all the crew members were evacuated on PIA Fokkers to Burma.
We burned 11 sabers 2 T-33s because of time issues they left 1 which the IAF has it as a trophy.
We kept a Beaver spray aircraft took seats out put SQD stuff in it and took off in the night. The Beaver had Dilawar, Schames-ul-Haq and Atta in it as they took off in the night they passed a Mig21 but the Beaver was so small the Mig didn't see it.

Thats why I like Defence Forces, people in defence forces have at least done something in their life, sometimes I think what I have done for my country??? Those galant people who watched the battle closely, escaping while Mig 21 passes away, in dog fight instinct of kill... I salute them!!!

All the writeup is already documented in Various books but these kids did a good job keeping PAF memories alive. Excellent job I my self have not seen or read them yet.

2) W/C Hasnat Ahmed not Fahad Hasnat... Fahad is Hasnat Sb's Son they were our neighbours at PAF Base Sargodha three sons of Hasnat Sb. Shahzad, Fahad, Asad.
