PAF JF-17 in Farnborough Air Show 2010

I request PAF officials, if any on this forum, to please comeup with some sexy video footages of JF17 (and PAF F16s doing some complex maneuvers), because all that is available on internet is Chinese and also that not good enough.

Fan boys like me want good video footages to develop these to fullfledge JF-17 promotional videos.

Please do consider by suggestion..

Lockheed slashes participation at Farnborough to save money
Lockheed Martin will partly define its own new reality by slashing its participation and media outreach at the Farnborough air show this year.

"I won't be going to the air show," says Lockheed chief executive Bob Stevens. "Many of our corporate leaders won't be going to the air show."

Lockheed also will limit its public events during the show, to include cancelling the annual media dinner, Stevens says.

Reducing the company's presence at the aerospace industry's largest exhibition this year is part of a wider corporate strategy.

"We're changing our approach based on our sense that we are all facing a new reality," Stevens says.

That reality is about facing increasing demands for the military and security services the company provides for governments and markets with rising resource constraints, he says.

Although Stevens says Lockheed's participation will be reduced by 50%, it's not clear what that exactly means.

While Stevens and other executives may abstain, the company is keeping its chalet, which is among the largest exhibitor spaces at the show.

The only Lockheed-built aircraft planned to be displayed on the static line is a US Air Force F-16. A Lockheed F-22 will also participate in the flying display, but will be parked at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire, following its participation in the Royal International Air Tattoo on 17-18 July.

"I assure you we will have the right people in the right place at the right time to conduct all the business of our company," Stevens says. "We will meet with customers. We will meet with partners. We'll reinforce our relationships."

It's also not clear whether Lockheed's decision could influence other contractors.

Indeed, Honeywell first scaled back its presence at Farnborough in 2008, eliminating its corporate chalet and exhibit booth.

The people attending the show should coordinate with each other so that we have ample videos AND images.

If everyone's just taking videos we wouldn't get high-res images which are also pretty important.

NO.

PAF’s JF-17 Thunder to participate in Farnborough Air Show

LONDON, July 5 (APP)- Pakistan Air Force will put on display its latest JF-17 Thunder warplanes at the world famous international air show in Farnborough from July 19 to 22, it was announced by Pakistan High Commission.

The spokesperson at the High Commission said two aircraft will display their flying characteristics during the course of the biennial show where leading world defence manufacturers often unveil their latest aviation tools.PAF Chief Air Chief Marshal Rao Suleman Qamar is expected to be present on the occasion.

The Pakistan Air Force officially inducted its first JF-17 squadron on February 18 this year. The aircraft has been co-produced with China and will eventually replace its present fleet of F-7, A-5 and Mirage planes.

The Air Force has already announced that it has a confirmed order for 150 JF-17’s which may increase to 250 aircraft.
JF-17 Thunder aircraft is an advanced multi-role light combat aircraft jointly developed by Chengdu and Pakistan Aeronautical Complex under a strategic collaboration project.

The aircraft is designed to be cost-effective and can meet the tactical and strategic needs of the Pakistan Air Force, and various other air forces.

The production facilities have been set up for the aircraft in Pakistan. The first batch of 50 JF-17 Thunder aircrafts will be equipped with the Chinese/Pakistani avionics and missiles, while the later aircrafts are to be equipped with more advanced radars and missiles.

Last week, latest version of three F-16’s aircraft were inducted into PAF. These were of 18 Block 52 C/D ordered by PAF from the United States.

Associated Press Of Pakistan ( Pakistan's Premier NEWS Agency ) - PAF’s JF-17 Thunder to participate in Farnborough Air Show

:what:

APP is Govt owned so it can't be wrong

hopefully so but sadly our press is very ill informed when it comes to such details
e.g. remember when Gen Kiyani flew with a pilot in an F-16? he was just a passenger in the 2 seater trainer and there were news even in the esteemed "the News" that he dropped bombs on the civilians in Swat.

in any case I am not cancelling my ticket . already bought 2 for me & brother and shall take static pictures for the forum
