When No. 19 sqn received ex-RJAF aircraft at Mushaf, a PAF official said efforts were on to base F-16's at other locations. So, the sqn could well be on its way to Bholari.

Sixth sqn of JF-17's will be raised in a few months as well.

A good move , certainly demands more then 1 Squadron to be stationed in Southern Pakistan ideally we should have 4 squadrons added

• 2 in Gawadar
• 2 in Sindh

We have a fairly large coastal zone to cover

Would be great start for Duel Seat Variant (Coastal Spacialist Role)

The JF18 (Duel Seat Thunder) certainly is a platform ideal for Sea Role, would have been nice if new enhancements were made in flight duration or fuel carrying capacity

guys I feel so good... IAF is inducting fighters like Su-30 MKI-IV and Rafale and PAF is indicting JF-17 ... The gap is widing up too large between IAF & PAF ...
PAF is no match for IAF and IAF will become more mighty as the years go by..

I don't have verified info about the sixth JF-17 sqn (which is to be raised in few months) though replacement of Exocet equipped Mirages (No. 8 sqn) may be a priority as this article suggests.

@Hodor insists a new sqn is to be raised at Samungli AFB.

PAF F-16's aren't equipped with AGM-84 Harpoon's.

There had to be response at some stage by PAF to IAF Phalodi airbase in the same region. This relieves pressure from PAF squadrons deployed in jacoabad and masroor.

F16s posted here are ADFs...as long as only F16s are posted here you cant say this base will provide CAS.

Arent these ADF versions supposed to get MLU making them strike capable?

Also, MR squadrons have all round capability of AD and Strike. 19th is MR.

Interesting to note capability of 6 BVR missiles with 600 Gal of fuel tanks. BVR launchers can be fitted on wing tips.

Yes I was thinking the same so F 16 will be most prob use to give cover to jft and respond any A2A threat.

They should put a SSW squadron with rotary/fixed air transport element at this base.
