PAF Chief in China to discuss upgradation of JF-17, plans to acquire 200 fighters

.
Is China capable of producing 200 aircraft a year?
Strikingly yes but it's ultimate and exceptional situation which I admit.
China's domestic demand is huge, we must fulfill our own replacement like J16 J10B J11D, so maybe this 200 is a share of beltline

.
Though this is a Block-III centeric visit, however i also expect talks on further acquisitions.
My 2 cents......
China is not involved in any up gradation process though they are Partners they over see and test these upgrades with us all of upgrades are done according to feed back from Pilots they main difference between 3 and 2 blocks will be AESA,IRST,More use of composite materials, an engine based on RD-33mk Sea Wasp and to some extent re-designed air frame to get rid of fuel tanks.

200? And all of then are thunders? How its possible to produce 200 thunders in a year? I remember when F16 was at its peak, Americans were producing one falcon per day! Does China has such capability?

BEIJING: Pakistan Air Force Chief today met top Chinese defence officials as the two countries look to upgrade the jointly produced JF-17 Thunder fighter jet, amid India's move to acquire 36 Rafale warplanes from France.

PAF Chief Air Marshal Sohail Aman, who is on a five day visit to China, met Gen Fan Changlong, Vice Chairman of China's Central Military Commission (CMC), the high command of the Chinese military.

The visit is aimed at increasing combat capabilities of JF-17 Thunder, single-engine multi-role combat aircraft jointly produced by the two countries, at par with the latest lethal and sophisticated aircraft of the world, PAF spokesman had said ahead of Sohail's visit to the communist giant.

PAF plans to acquire 200 fighter jets this year. Fan and Sohail pledged to strengthen practical cooperation in training, military equipment and anti-terrorism, state-run news agency reported.

"China and Pakistan have become 'iron friends', always trusting and supporting each other," Fan said while expressing hope that the two countries' military cooperation will contribute to regional peace and stability.

Pakistan has always placed the two country's bilateral relationship as a top priority. Pakistan is willing to join hands with China to strengthen all-round military-to-military exchanges and cooperation, particularly in the air force, Sohail said.

Sohail hoped the two countries' military cooperation will provide a safe and secure environment for China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and deepen their all-weather friendship and all-dimensional cooperation.

Pakistan relies heavily on Chinese militaryware and also evinced keen interest in the new weapon systems being vigorously developed by China such as J-31 stealth aircraft and the wide bodied Y-20 heavy military aircraft which China says is comparable to the Russian-made IL-76 and the US' C-17.

Sohail's visit came amid India's move to acquire 36 twin- engine multi role fighter aircraft Rafale.

In March, Pakistan Naval Chief Muhammad Zakaullah had visited China during which the deal to sell eight Chinese submarines to Pakistan navy was reportedly clinched.

maybe we are going for few chinese made aircrafts as well like j-10 or some other with the upgradation of jf-17 or maybe we will acquire these 200 aircrafts in next 2 to 3 years now these can be only jf-17 or maybe few chinese aswell

In my view this just a speculation on the part of the Indian newspaper.

If that is the case then the possibility of Pakistan getting 200 aircraft in a year is achieve-able.
Pakistan can get those aircraft those are being replaced. Like the older J-11s with some newer J-11D's / J-15's / J-16's.
Though this would clearly kill the prospects of getting J-10's as the old ones are not allowed to be exported to Pakistan.

There is also a possibility like what @salman-1 has stated earlier.

If I remember correctly F-16's parts were produced at many other facilities around the world hence the Americans could attain that rate of production.
