maybe be but not sure its possible Pakistan is in talks with china 36 j10c's, 100 remaining jf-17's and 54 j-31 until 2020, 10 j-31 in near future for training and evailuation for 3 different squardron's. 36+100+54+10= total is 200.

PAF need one aircraft that can take the place of F-16 right now. As a multi role platform JF-17 has done well, even block3 will be a fighter that is unprecedentally success. What is sighnigicant for PAF is too get a fighter which has patent superiority to IAF 4th generation fighters( Mirage 2000, Tejas, Mig29K) and competent to defeat 4++(Su-30MKI Rafale), More importantly deters the Su-50 and AWACS.
When facing those rivals. Amount takes a fraction, 100 J10s would be inferior to 20 J-31s I think, because J-10 is not enough to validly imped or destroy them and self casualty would be unacceptable.
Asymmetric superiority is the only way to fight against them. Eliminate more enemies and diminish self loss. Like 1 soldier with pistol fight with 1 with another pistol they may kill others equally but if 1 with Machinegun and fight with 10 with pistols the 1side maybe loses 0.
I think at least J11D as you said. J10 maybe has the cross of role with JF17 block3.
J31 is ideal. I hope China and Pakistan could manufacture it together.

JF-17 block3 is on the way to its service in PAF. It equipped with AESA which would be capable to confront the accumulative thread from India.
J-31 I wrote an arcticle about it serve in Pakistan to a defense magazine. I believe J31 would be unique in PAF and facilitates PAF to form some new capabilities( thwart Su-50, stealth attack AWACS with LRAAM). It could be better when coordinates with zdk03, perfectly match.

no I think they are going to use the money they stolen from the "Mother of all deals" MMRCA ..

this is why the "mother of all deals" is reduced to grand daughter of all deals" now.

We are struggling to take our limited production capacity of 25 JF-17 units per year to somehow 50 units per year through directly buying Chinese made units(capacity is low due to both financial and technical reasons). And here we have been bestowed with a news of 200 new jets in a year...and guess what, it may include J-31 and Y-20 as well

At present PAF is not looking towards a replacement of F-16's. It still requires to replace around 200 Mirage III / V's and F-7's.

For F-16's replacement PAF would go for a 5 th Gen aircraft. Till that time F-16's are capable of handling what ever India throws at them.

J-31 or J-20 would still be developed before it is selected by PAF.

What a load of articles . This comes in backdrop of rafale deal ?

Guys IAF to add more than 600 4.5-5th generation fighters in next 15-18 years and numbers would go up depending on how far MK2 and AMCA FGFA turns out to be . Even China will loose it's number superiority by then in terms of replacement they will go thru . If am not wrong China will produce 50 Jf17 for Pakistan by 2019 and Pakistan will add same number or less than that due to upgrade needed to be carried out of older Jf17 . These articles just presume the total number by 2020-25 of Jf17.

I dint even added mMRCA replacement Sukois to this 600 numbers

T-50 is facing problems so no FGFA,about AMCA HAL has failed to produce a jet named Tejas up to IAF Mark so i think AMCA will be ops in next century.China is produce up to 6 J-10b's a month with capacity up to 10 at CAC production line.For bold part PAC kamra will producing 25 jets in 2015.

we already have 100 JF-17 (blk-I & blk-II under construction) I think this visit is for the official agreement for 100 blk-III

200 fighters in a single year, it will require quite a few assembly lines.
