Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) Kamra has built and exported eighty Mushshaq aircrafts during last five years while some are in the final stage of completion.

It was informed to the Senate's Standing Committee on Defence Production which visited Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, Kamra under the chairmanship of Lieutenant General (Retd) Abdul Qayyum.

The Committee was informed that work is also underway to manufacture JF-17 Thunder aircraft, which would be exported to Myanmar while an accord has been signed to sell the fighter jets to Nigeria as well.

. .
One of the smartest and well managed project PAC. Getting the sole manufacturing rights from SAAB's and then building upon it due course have helped pakistan to not only save a lot of money, but also earn some from exports.
Although its a bit out dated, but comes very handy for basic training. Opening up for commercial sector will also get it some more sales.

not outdated! it has been update time to time....the biggest update was of Super Mushshaq over basic Mushshaq variant that Pakistan brought rights from Saab for.

Its latest version is an armed reconasis version....Build for export.

They should also make an affordable civilian version of this very successful aircraft
civilian flying clubs in Pakistan use that version...its already is available.

Good to see pur senate committees are alive

If they price it around 1.5cr, it can be a civilian hot cake. Everyone who can afford a decent SUV will be able to afford this. It can also be exported to civilian fliers in Australia & US.
I will be there ahead of the queue

why to brief about the progress to enemies of the country who are least interested in development of the country.

@Horus what is 2 million dollars in current Pak Rs value. This would be the price of the unit. For civilian usage will they not have to provide servicing facilities and how are they set up currently? The other thing to note is whether they have a six to 10 seater variant for small distance hauls.

16 plus 3 total 19 exported/ordered so far and assuming Nigeria will add more plus Myanmar as well to replace all older types or majority of types like a5 and f7s there is potential to double the numbers
