p 17 & type 052c comparison

No offence to India but it cannot even hope to start designing a destroyer as advanced as Zumalt class for around another 10-15 years. China already has the technological base to do this.

It is already building the 2nd generation destroyers(Type-052D) equipped with indigenous AESA radars. This will give China a very good base to kick-off design of a next generation stealth class ship and I suspect that they have already started on this project.

I agree that the US overhypes it's technology. It is not as good as they say it is.

Sometimes I do not understand why so many Indians(other Asians too as well) think that US technology is so far ahead that a country like China will never have a chance to match it in the next couple of decades.

Even when China's GDP double that of the US in20 years, I still so not foresee China surpass the US. US sets the direction of tech. I believe the earliest China can match the US is about 50 years. However, I do see China surpass all other nations
In technology because everyone is following American's lead. With more money, China can follow faster than all others. In 20 years, I predict China's defense tech would surpass all except America. India can only buy American equipments if it wish to have tech edge over China soon. None of those tech transfer rip offs from the Europeanss or Russians

And you're the fortune teller of PDF?

By 2020-2025, almost every top-of-the-line American defense project
will be majorily funded by India. Couple of years down the lane, we'll make 100%
of our naval defense needs in-house.

Many of Russia's leading defence projects are funded by India, we also invest in
Israeli projects right now, this level of investment will grow further in coming years,
not just in Russia/Israel but also France, EU & USA. Our investments will be
there is almost all of their major defence projects.

and Chinese wont be able to EVEN match Russians or Israel, France, Germany etc for another 70-80 years minimum.

As for the argument of money, ISN'T CHINA ALREADY a many times more rich and bigger economy then Russia, France, Germany and tiny Israel. So why they still 4 decades behind all of these countries still.

China imports billions-worth stuff from very small and poor countries
like Ukraine. Let alone Russia, Israel & France.

Chinese can't make a simple 700kgf (17kN) mini-turbofan engine for UCAVs,
they bought license from Ukrain for Ivchenko AL-25TLK engine and build it under
the name WS-11.

They need "help" from Ukraine to make their Y-20 heavy transport ac, which is
primarily designed by Ukraine's Antonov Design Bureau and funded by China. PLAN
wants to buy hovercrafts from Ukraine after indigenous alternatives (a copy
of an older Soviet product) failed.

I can't believe a so-called "superpower" China is so terribly dependent on
poor countries like Ukraine to make their stuff. Don't forget the Chinks still can't
make their own engine for their plane J-10, the WS-10A still doesn't give satisfactory
performance even after 25 years in development. They're premier "stealth fighter"
J-20 cannot even fly without Russian engines. And they think they're ahead of
Russia in fighter development...

That WZ-10 helicopter they were pondering over since the last two-and-a-half
decades still has overweight problems, and they need help from Western companies
like Pratt & Whitney to convert a civilian engine into a military-optimized one!
Funny thing is how reliable is a civilian engine in a battlefield?? And even more
funny is, the Chinese need Westerners' help to compete with the West itself !!

They're AWACS project KJ-200 Balance Beam is a Chinese radar mounted on
the Y-8J propeller aircraft (a copy of Soviets' old Antonov An-12). Now the Chinese
expertise in modifying an airframe is so less than they had to take this plane
to Ukraine to let the Antonov OKB scientists take a look at the airframe and tell
China what to do and how to do concering the mounting of an AEW radar on top.

That is enough to prove that Chinese mass-produce
a product by looking at it/taking it apart that's all. They do not know about it's
designs, and source codes for software that helped design then, for that they need
to take the plane right back to where it came from (in this case, Antonov OKB, now
in Ukraine). By "copying" the Chinese simply make a replica of an existing product,
they know sh!t about it. Which is absolutely no different than the license-
production that India does. They only difference is that Chinese produce the
product under a Chinese name, for the sake of making they're worthless
mark on it. While India builds it under the original name only.

the Shenyang J-11/Sukhoi Su-27 is just a perfect example. If India were to
produce MKI under the name HF-26 and Dassault Rafale under the name HF-28,
India, according to the Chinese sphere of knowledge, literally "makes" it. I'll
leave it to god to make people understand that in the right way. However that
doesn't make the Flanker a Chinese or Indian product, it's origin is distinctly Russian,
regardless of whatever new loads of stuff you add to it and give it more worthless
names J-11B, J-11BS, Chinese plane blah blah blah, Shenyang made it blah blah
blah...and then some more blah blah blah

No need for such comparison. Type 052C and D will distroy The indian frigate.

In fact its quiet opposite P17 frigates can destroy Type-52A/B/C/D.. as it has Brahmos for wich none of the Chinese ships have any defensive system capable to counter it.

While the P17 uses Barak-1 Air-Defense system which has killed even Yakhont in Mid air many times.

Hence in 1to1 Battle Type-52A/B/C/D is hopeless and useless against any P17 frigate or even Talwar class.

US will have a worthy enemy in P17.. so US and P17 are worthy competitors... but don't bring the chinese one in between which are levels below standards of US and P17 frigates..

Last time I heard, Chinese Can't even Make arresting cables for Ukranian Scrapyard. Russians refused to sell it to china.

Sorry for you
They are equipped.

If you compare P17 with US navy, than it just shows you are not credible. First, you must compare with the Chinese, and then Russian and other European. And then after that you can compare with the US. If there is ever any conflict between US and India, its a good idea for Indian ships to take shelter in Pakistani ports to avoid complete losses. Same with Indian planes.

If you dont get the drift of the feeling in this thread, then you have poor reading skills. the chiense frigates have been exposed as no match for Indian p17. so I would let you be at peace with the rest of your non meaningful post.
