Do you remember 1990s when they would run awareness campaign on Doordarshan about overpopulation? It would give me goose bumps. But the concerned authorities never did anything really effective. I forgot all about that in the intervening years. I can see the consequences of that indifference today.

Unemployment is not an issue, People are finding jobs easily. Earlier it is all about getting Govt. jobs as the industries are low in number. But now a days one can find a job easily and earn handsome amount easily.

India needs a minimum of two kids per family.

Its the same in all third world countries. The poorer having children upon children and the rich having only 1 or 2. But at times this balances out. I witnessed a pashtun family from karachi-they had some 8-12 kids most of them male. The younger ones were living off the money of the older kids and father and going to good colleges. Now only about 6% of the total Pakistani population manages to go to college/university so this is a big feat.

Do you think in olden days, Indian cricketers would play uninterrupted for longer periods and now the team composition changes frequently?

For instance, an entire era belonged to Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, Sachin Tendulkar etc. In the decades of 2000s and 2010s people don’t know who the main players of the national team are except Dhoni.
