It is powered by Al-31 ( another variant without TVC), what ever the Chinese or BD or Pakistanis say, but reality is China is still powering its jet with Russian engine.

This is the same engine which powering SU-30 MKI, even if we getting frequent problem in double engine plane with this engine, then what you expect in single engine variants, obviously direct crash.

Oh i was just wondering, the Indians once referred to their MKI as the Raptor of East, until it started ejecting out the pilots and the blame game started, now since the real Raptor has been shot down by the Rafale, it's safe to assume that the Rafale will be knighted nothing less than the Martian machine, but i guess we will need to wait a couple of years for that when the Indian flag even gets painted in France.

No... Its the THIRD one to have been reported .. The j10s have crashed in quite some numbers.. That's part and parcel of making a new platform from the start... Kudos to the HAL and the DRDO to have made the LCA and clocked soo many flight hours without loosing a single jet... After all, the fighter has gone through 100,000 points of check... We Indians may be slow as a glacier to make things.. But once made.. God.. We are good!!

.. I agree with u that the plane is as good as a fighter.. Absolutely.. But even comparing a rafale f3.3 with even ur "proposed" block 3 jf17 would be cute, to say more... The block 52 that u operate (in low numbers) is a notch lower than the su30mki (not to mention the super sukhois soon to be inducted).. The rafale, however packs a meaner punch... I hope even u would agree..
As far as the pilot is concerned.. Sir, both the Indian as well as the Pakistani train their pilots to be the best and to take On the best (thanks to the bonding BTW our two nations, we NEED to stay as competitive as we can.. Don't we?)..
Now, to share a lil fact, the first joint indo-Us exercise where the Indians showcased their sukhoi platforms saw us being quite... Umm.. "Beatable".. And even the US made a bit of a fun (it leaked on U-tube).. But since we had barely been familiar with the fighters ourselves for more than 5years, I think it would be harsh to expect us to a champ... Now.. However.. The story is changed.. We .. Have MASTERED our machine... WE provide Training to Vietnamese pilots ... So .. I think on the pilot front, we stand stronger than ever.. (And the rafale will only inhance our ability to master better platforms)
Now, for the " unproven fighter" stance is concerned, the fighters today.. Of any country... Other than the war monger USA's ofcourse.. Will be "unproven"... But that's the reasons we have wargames.. Or airshows all over the world.. Thses events validate the specs which the countries boast about.. Fighters are compared and evaluated on some basic criterions.. (Which I am sure u are aware of.. So I won't reinvent the week for u)..
The rafale.. Just so that u know, recorded (alone with the euro fighter typhoon) maximum number of kills of the RAPTOR a few years back during a joint us-france-uk drill.. This shocked the Americans enough to realise that they spend BILLIONS of dollars on a 5TH GEN FIGHTER and yet can't out perform the " 4th gen fighters" of their own NATO friends... (Its a whole report out there on the net).. their dread increased when they came to know that the Russians (their favourite boogy-man) and the chinese (their newfound "boogy Man") have their own 5gen fighter plans.. Hence, they moved on to the 6th gen fighter program in the late 90s or the easy 2000s....
Besides, all said and done.. The game is NO longer between India and Pakistan... We just have a long standing land dispute, nothing else.. Wars arw faught now a daysin economies... (If u disagree, then observe what the us has done to the Russians.. Crippled their economy.. Forcing them to abandon their military morderisation programs.. Esp the PAK-FA..)

Here in Europe the nations of Nato and others are replacing their F16 with euro canards or F35 lightening.

Whislt everybody admires the falcon we acknowledge it is a fighter that is no longer cutting edge.

its cockpit sensor fusion radar and ew suites is inferior to the euro canards especially the rafale

its single engine cannot super cruise and is full generation older than the crystal blade engines of euro canards.

J-10B has same delta-canard configuration as Eurocanards. This allows it to move swiftly at high-altitude in order to make use of its AESA radar/sensor fusion to knock out opponents from beyond-visual range.

Both Chinese and UK defence experts consider it a real challenge to Eurofighter and so who cares what you think.

You are so right mate ! I will write toPAF air chief and ask him to sell all the planes and eat gajak with it for hoa can we ever fight against the mighty Rafale and Tejas and sukhois and the super sukhois. The list of Indian achievements go on and on.
