Turkey’s main opposition leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu slammed the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) leaders for “turning Turkey into a bloodbath” and said they should be tried for “aiding and abetting terrorist organizations.”

In a speech to members of the CHP İstanbul branch, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu said the neighboring Syria has become a new Afghanistan, an operational center for all jihadist groups. “They went there under protection offered by the government. Turkey has become embroiled in a process of Pakistanization,” said Kılıçdaroğlu.

The CHP leader said a total of 234 people were killed in six bombings across Turkey over the past six months. “No country that is not in a war has been through such a deep trauma. How can it be that 234 people have been killed over the past six months but no is held accountable politically?” he said.

28 people, mostly soldiers, were killed when a car laden with explosives detonated as buses carrying military personnel stopped at traffic lights in downtown Ankara on Feb. 17. It was the second bomb attack in the city over the past four months. On Oct. 10, 2015, more than 100 people were killed when two bombs exploded second apart among a crowd headed to a peace rally in the bloodiest terror attack in the history of the Turkish Republic.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu blamed the Syrian Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) for the Feb. 17 attack, although its political arm, the Democratic Union Party (PYD) denied YPG involvement. The Oct. 10 attack is believed to have been carried out by militants linked with the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), although the government insisted that the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) terrorist group was also involved.

Kılıçdaroğlu said ISIL has emerged as a new source of trouble as if the PKK was not enough. “You handed them guns, you turned cities into weapon warehouses. ISIL has recruited militants from 70 provinces across Turkey,” he said, adding that the AK Party leaders, including President Erdoğan, should be called to account for what he called aiding and abetting terrorist organizations.

“Why has Turkey been Pakistanized? Because of aiding and abetting [terrorist groups]. Everyone should be aware of this fact,” he said.

The CHP leader said the terrorist groups gained ground in Turkey because the country is not well governed and added that former President Abdullah Gül, who co-founded AK Party, partly shares these concerns as well.

Gül, speaking to reporters on Feb. 19, said Turkey was going through the most difficult time of its history, in comments on the latest bomb attack in Ankara.

I think we Pakistani already discuss and advice this situation many times to our Turkish brothers before, you are not the only one. Even an unofficial source claim , Gen Raheel already discuss the consequence to Turkish counterpart. Absorbing the extremist in main stream society is not piece of cake. Its something more you press, them more chances of explode.

First of all, the opposition is a bunch of fucking assholes, if they're so casual about insulting their closest allies. Second, the two situations are nothing alike, the similarities are superficial. The end goals are different, as well as the method of operation.

.
But in both scenario govt used hardline religious extremist for their regional favor. One create Taliban and other created ISIS for regional gain. One used to topple Russian backed govt and other one used ISIS to topple dictator to neutralize arch rival , kurds.
But using Pakistan example is sad and disturbing, but.............

Turkey needs to get rid off erdogan this guy will drag Turkey to hell god forbid.

It's already too late for them as they are beyond saving. Their path to hell is irreversible as evidenced by last weeks events in Ankara. turkeys neighbors still hath a chance to save themselves from turkish imperialism by purging themselves of any turkish influence

Pakistan defended its self against a super power , who were not coming here to play volleyball at Gwadar, and will do it again if it needs to be.
Turkey situation is not similar to pakistan

Pakistan defended it self by becoming a volunteer proxy for USA & NATO , it just like India had no business in the war , they could have signed the non aligned movement like India being neutral instead they CHOSE to go to war on its neighbours .

USR was only interested in the western borders of Afghanistan bordering current Tajikistan & Turkmenistan . Due to its strategic location . They literally had no reason to attack Pakistan especially p.0.k , which logically was one of the first prone to be attacked .

Erdogan and his of sectarians they depend on the sectarianism in other countries to have some influence.

Unfortunately Iraq is weaker than Syria as Syria rulled by one strong regime while Iraq ruled by quota that means shiite can't a thing without the proval of the sunnis while sunnis can do any thing they want since they really backed up by the arab protectorates and some other states!! now you can see that clear in Iraq!! so we need a strong regime to protect the country. Yes the situation now is better but still weak.

Now the biggest force in Iraq that will make any country in the neighborhood think 1000 time before it make any move that harm the unity of the country.

I dont understand Erdogan. He did good things for Turkey but he brings down evrything now.

He sponsors ISIS (which is a proven fact). He destabilized Syria to the point where it starts breaking apart in turkey. He fuels religious hate. He crushs civilian society. He started a massive conflict with russia which crippled turkish tourism even more. He makes war against the kurdish people which generates even more terrorism. He lost both the largest tourism groups. Germans and russians.

I guess he went demented. I have no other explanation for this anymore.

Tourism in italy is absolute booming now. Same counts for spain. Since all islamic countries broke away as market we get most of the money.

@Sinan whats going on there?

Killing terrorists.....killing thousands of terrorists in Turkey, Iraq and Syria....so terrorists got frustrated...but that will not save them.

shooting down an russian bomber, destroying tourism sector and doing business with ISIS doesn´t help much.

I mean its obvious that turkey goes down the toilet right now. I think Erdogan suffers from something we call "Cesars madness"

I guess he was too long in power. All around him are devote slimers who tell him what he wants to hear.

I dont know if you follow european news but we fear that turkey collapses into anarchy.
