Operation Swift Retort by Alan Warnes

But with AESA upgrade all JFT blocks will be able to carry PL-15s.

Not all JF-17s are getting AESA. Only Block 3's for now.

Depending on how Block 3 turns out in terms of combat effectiveness, we may acquire upto 100 Block IIIs.

so is PL 15 already there with PAF??, weren't the Chinese hesitant in releasing their best air to air arsenal to PAF
i know PL XX has been seen in testing but still..

would we expect to see them live(in pictures)

Soon.

We got to see SD-10's years after we got them.

And Chinese were never hesitant with PL-15s.

The first batch of PL-15's arrived at Chaklala on on Il-78. 200 in number ;)

Again epic fail.
None of them are real account of Everton Pedroza.

actually it does that every time it passes near or hits a chaff.
On 27 Feb both Su-30s pretty mich created a big chaff cloud.

First of all most search missions were led by Estonian although missile belonged to Spaniards (fired from spains EFT).

Secondly only reason they did not find the missile was because it ended up 6 km inside Russian territory.
atleast all of us can agree on somethings...
  1. a standing "militant" building in balakot,
  2. few burned trees and a dead crow,
  3. a burning mig21,
  4. bloody nosed fighter pilot and warm cup of tea
  5. 6 dead and burning mi 17
  6. and last but not the least blasts marks with end-stage guided videos around Indian headquarters

yes it is true for you but the clip of that blunder is available on YT and millions have watched.....for your it is easy to say...27/2 never happened....

The most ignorant 2 words in the history of PDF.
Here is the real clip, as one can see he was saying the exact opposite (watch the 1st 4 mins).

han bhai "never happened"

bas kar dey yar bara hi dheet hy ......

It is widely accepted claim by impartial sources...The SU was hit and returned to base and there is another theory that it was crashed inside IOK while trying to reach base. Read the following from "somewhere"

"Hasan promptly announced ‘Fox Three,’ the brevity code for an active radar-guided missile contact at the target. Though hard evidence by way of aircraft wreckage or aircrew casualties has not been available so far, ground and airborne radar traces indicated that the blip vanished from the screens after a couple of tight orbits by the aircraft. Whether the Su-30mki had met a violent end, or the damaged aircraft spiralled down to make an emergency landing at nearby Srinagar, remains moot. Debris of the AIM-120C missile, as mentioned, however was later picked up and displayed on Indian television in a ludicrous tri-services press conference as the IAF brass unsportingly complained that the PAF had used its F-16s against them, in what was actually a telling response to their own aggression. Indian Media however did blunder into initially admitting this loss (A Pakistan Air Force F16 has shot down an Sukhoi 30mki of the IAF) and quickly hushed up as evidently the world witnessed how stifled and unprofessional Indian media had been thru the whole time, actively allowing itself as Modi's falsehood machine after a humiliating defeat."

In the aerial encounter of February 27, there was a high probability of several more IAF aircraft being shot down, given PAF’s definite edge in BVR air combat. The conflict was, thus, clearly fraught with the likelihood of tit-for-tat intensification to a point of no return. That the two nuclear powers were on the brink of a terrible catastrophe is something which needs serious reflection, especially for the initiator of the conflict – in this case Mr Modi, who seemed to have coolly run an election campaign on the wings of the IAF which was clearly mauled by a smaller Pakistan Air Force, again.

Tailpiece: The Indian Prime Minister’s whimper (quoted in India Today, 3 March 2019), “if we had the Rafale, things would have been different,” Clearly, the Indian Prime Minister miscalculated Pakistan’s resolve, ability and willingness to pay back promptly, in kind.

Arrogance and self awareness never mix.

"Pakistan has one of the best, most combat ready air forces of the world".

General Chuck Horner

Commander USAF during Desert Storm

There’s a video of an Indian news clip stating that a PAF F-16 shot down an Indian SU-30MKI. Someone find the clip and post it here since the Indians took the clip off YouTube and the internet

In your head ... sure.

to every one else it is absently clear you lost major aviation assets that day.
I've not come across any international media or neutral source that confirmed or even mentions IAF losing Su-30MKI on 27feb.

If you have read about anywhere in the international media or aviation circle, give me a link to that.

Backchannel sources state side hint a Su 30 was hit but managed to RTB.

Thank You Ma'am for sharing this information from your contacts.

That certainly seems to be the case as Hassan immediately pronounced 'Fox Three' as he fired his AMRAAM, and the IAF was stupid enough to showcase the AMRAAM on TV. PAF is very stringent on assigning kills but it assigned Hassan the kill for the SU30MKI.

Its fascinating how the narrative has changed completely from India. SU30MKI, the Raptor of the East(per our Indian friends) was the greatest fighter aircraft ever built. It was a bomb truck with 12 BVRAAM's but maneuverable like a Cobra Dancer in the skies due to its TVC, and could also act like as a Mini AWAC rendering PAF useless. Stories would come out how the SU30MKI totally dominated the Rafales, EF, F15's and F16's during exercises and the only counter to this mighty beast would be the F22. That narrative has changed to if we had Rafales we would have won. Collective human psychology is fascinating.

PAF wanted to put all JFT on par with 4++ gen birds that is why China offered low cost AESA for JFT, if things didn't go wrong due to COVID-19 pandemic then at the end all blocks of JFT will have AESA radars most probably block-3 will have advance one compared to previous blocks.

well it isn’t all good news for the PAF either, it failed to press the advantage due to a break down in comms and command indecision paralysis.

Before 27 Feb many Indians claimed upgraded Bison on par with F-16s and how advance they are now, but what happened to all Israeli EW equipment on MKI, and other aircrafts?? Why those mighty systems didn't work and IAF ran away??

IAF ran away ? If IAF ran way did PAF stay after launching their weapons on intended targets?

You are talking as if PAF jets were flying over Indian airspace for hours and not a single IAF jet came challenging them, the truth is when Mig21 cap reached Loc PAF jets were back within their airspace and when Abhinondan looking for targets, he was already inside pakistan airspace and after shot down, his jet fell down beyond 10Km inside Pakistani territory.

This skirmish lasted for less than 30 minutes.
You are saying like we should have flown 200 jets towards the LOC in that span of 30 minutes. Is it possible? IAF did send dozens of jets to kashmir after 10.30, but by that time, PAF had gone back and didn't do anything aggressive. Also an IAF counter strike would have caused war which both countries didn't want, that why earlier on the day PAF launched weapons on isolated locations that would avoid casualties. Still Indian military kept aggressive maneuvers short of war in sea,air and land to put pressure Pakistan to release Abhinandan. Otherwise both countries did everything to avoid an all out war as no one wanted to start a war that damaged their economies.
