NITI Aayog to push India's cyber defence system

I'm not blaming him. I'm proud that he is serving for nation.
And cyber security not only means destroying each other's infrastructure. It can be used for stealing technology.

Satellite survelliance is already placed and military intelligence of powerful countries are already aware about who is having what etc.

But what if the citizen of India is being framed and his life is being made worst and made him to suffer for 10 years against the International conventions ?

Cant these idiots understand what if they will place survelliance on one Indian citizen then the Indian Military Cyber command will make life hell of all these countries who are living in India ? For us honor and dignity is most important, we are aware that we are not any soft power.

Is Our Government trying to protect those who are indulge in violations of International conventions with its about Indian Citizen ? I dont think that our Government will hamper worthless nations but why our Government giving millions to those who doesnt respect our nation, our system ?

Why everyone can come to India and why Indians cant live in harmony and peace even when open survelliance is being placed since the last 10 years on one Indian citizen and the biggest thing is this that Indian Citizen is me.:disagree::disagree:

Any normal Indian will see for protection towards the security forces and Government and i am worried about my 2 daughters :(:(.

Hackers ?? Your Cousin ?? IT specialist or what ?
Hmmmm.....

1) IB is the intelligence agency charged with domestic operations so these hackers are going to do what? Hack Indian companies?
2)The NTRO is India's NSA charged explicitly with technical intelligence (both domestic and external)

I am not refuting what you have stated @Bad Guy, I am simply stating some things worth mentioning and I can actually understand the logic in the IB getting their own cyber experts (that they already do), it is just that 5000 seems far too many for their remit.

Dont you think 5000 is a huge number to be trained?

A good cyber wing has around 100000 cyber soldiers.
I don't say it's huge but a good start as compared to previous government

I don't know why IB employed but what do you mean that they have no use of them.
Enough Cyber Threats from non-state actors are there.

@Abingdonboy Either I've mistaken.

My brother told about "an" intelligence bureau and and I took it as IB.

Domestic operations will include cyber surveillance of :
1.Separatists like Geelani.
2. journalist sympathetic to anti-India elements.
3. Individuals suspected of involvement in terrorism.
4. Individuals suspected of association with foreign intelligence etc.

"The cases related to cyber crime have increased by 70 per cent in the year 2014 as compared to 2013. There was an increase of about 64 per cent in 2013 as compared 2012," he said.

The Home Ministry had recently said a Rs 400 crore cybercrime control hub, to be called 'Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre' (IC4)

One of the priorities of IC4 will be to check attempts by international gangs to penetrate Indian government's official communication network and hack them.

Key objectives of IC4 are to act as a nodal point in the fight against cyber crime and as an early warning system for law enforcement agencies with active cyber crime monitoring.

IC4 will provide all necessary technical assistance to CBI and state police on all cyber crime related issues.

The Home Minister has already directed speedy implementation of recommendations of the committee.

Cyber warfare is really a very big problem and Indian Government is doing the right thing.

I am not against employing cyber soldiers- if we need cyber soldiers to protect our nation then so be it!!!
In this era of technology it would be foolish to assume that all the battles would be fought on the fields.
