In the unlikely event of a large-scale regional conflict, large armored thrusts from the western regions through neutral countries cannot be ruled out.

PLA used to value armored column very much when Soviet Union was a threat. Now majority of the budget went into Air force and Navy with much higher priority because of USN.

I have strong nerves and i don't get anxious easily. I also don't live in dream land and tend to follow Realpolitik. IMO, Pakistan is in deep shi..t.

India is buying up thousands of T-90s, BMPs and T-14s possibly, Apaches, all operating under the S-400 umbrella and the full might of the Indian Air Force.

The VT-4 is NOT going to cut it on its own. We need a proper 4th Generation MBT platform which can also be adopted for a 4th Gen IFV, ICV, ARV, ARSV, AMCV and armored ambulance.

We also need China to let Pakistan in its Strategic SAM programme. We need a proper protection umbrella to fight effectively against a modern ground invasion.

Realisticly speaking, the Chinese Govt will not pick a fight with India over Pakistan directly. You have a $100 billion in mutual trade.

What we need is technology.

India cant do jackshit as long as China support Pakistan, not to mention Pak has nuclear weapon. Vt4 is enough to deal with the threat from IA.
if its not enough, put T99A on that list.

all Chinese military fans dont take T90s seriosuly, even T90ms.

the integrated power package and transmission system of VT4 is lot more adcanced than T90ms. Pakistan can get lots of know.how.by studying it.

2. Effective counter to Indian stand off weapons.
3. Effective firepower to neutralize advancing Indian columns in large numbers.
4. Effective SAM coverage to take out Indian aeroplanes.

This gives you a very respectable defence. And the good news is, you don't need these systems by the thousands.

For effective counter strike, I recommend:

1. Supersonic cruise missile.
2. Thermobaric weapons/fuel air bombs.

Insha Allah, this will rattle the Indians down to their teeth.

I don't want to be "that guy" but while in Karachi, I heard more about armed forces run housing dev schemes than POF, HIT, etc. What people want to make of it is their decision, but I'm just conveying what I saw. Basically, we don't have real right wing hawks in Pakistan.

you need fighter like J16 that can strike deep inside India. and nuclear subs that can fire cruise misslw with nuke warheads.

Work on AK II has begun and VT-4 is the Tank which has been selected. No time is being wasted. Lot of deals are being done and many weapons are slowly being inducted. RangeMaster production started in Pakistan and no body had any clue about it. @Horus POF is slowly improving but we need to select new Assault Rifle fast.

In current scenario where we are seeing india's army being transformed in an aggressive way we need atleast 1000+ of these tanks in a modified form according to PA's requirement so hopefully we will purchase it with TOT or license manufacturing.

Yes that is exactly what we plan to do. But first 150 to 200 could be bought from China. Because minimum number which we need is around 600
