For decades, railway maintenance workers in China's Xinjiang had to deal with hard battles against winds and sand in the Gobi Desert to ensure safe rail operations. Now, with the help of new technology and windbreak facilities, the situation is much different.

i find the direction of travel interesting. I know chinese drive on the right - but do the trains drive on the left ? great scenery by the way. you guys should make your own "western" movies with a spirit of adventure and these scenery as the background.

I think for trains, they drive in the center.

The seating position maybe center - i was referring to tracks. it looks the pair of tracks on left are being used to move forward while dirving its the road on right where traffic flows forward.
