Navy orders 8 tejas fighter jets

Indeed it's a good news.. Indian Navy is on a right track to gain the lost momentum. Unlike Iaf Indian Navy has really supported well Tejas project. And now it should be HAL's responsibilty to ensure no more delays should be there in arming Navy with Tejas.
8 Tejas really sounds too less but it is just inditial phase and with new engine and numbers would go up as well.

IAF should learn from the navy what it means to have a broad vision. way to go IN. kudos to the navy chief!

“In the paper design it looked feasible, similar to what Eurofighter proposed for a navalised Typhoon; or what Gripen proposed for the Sea Gripen. But when we started the detailed design and the actual build… we realized the benefits of what Dassault had done with the Rafale. They designed and built the naval variant first, the Rafale Marine. The air force Rafale is just a subset of Rafale Marine. That is the easiest path,” says Balaji ruefully.

Which again shows the huge ammount of incompetence, they took 2 paperplanes and companies without any naval experience as models for N-LCA, while they didn't considered simply to do it with Mig, or Dassault from the start.

More over, the fact that AMCA again seems to be developed for IAF in firstplace, shows that they didn't learned anything at all!

Karan Tum bhi??? There is no MK I and MK II in N-LCA. All 8 will be with GE414 engine. GE 404 can not do carrier operation...refer this quote...

There will be MK1 and MK2, but MK1s will be prototype and shore based trainers only, while MK2 will be the operational versions for the carriers.
The current N-LCAs don't have the streched fuselage, nor do they have the GE 414 engines yet, that will come only after the IAF MK2 version will be available.

IAF should learn from the navy what it means to have a broad vision. way to go IN. kudos to the navy chief!

Not really, if IN officials would have broad vision, they would go only for N-LCA tech demonstrators and instist on a naval AMCA, developed according to their requirements, to provide them not only an indigenous fighter, but a NG fighter, that rearly makes a difference! N-LCA will be indigenous, but a modest 4.5 gen fighter which doesn't make a difference at all.

what does tejas look like? im too lazy to google it:D, someone post pictures here
