Well, there were 3 guys who put a bet on who can last the longest with this smelly goat.

The 1st was a Punjabi who went in and after few hrs came out...
2nd was a Saraiki who went in and then came out after 1 day..
3rd was pathan who when he went in the goat came running out...

Explain your trip, pros and cons etc.

In short I took an APV from Lahore to Jhang that broke down on the way ! We waited for about half an hour on the road before they sent another one. I arrived at Jhang around 10:00 a.m & went straight to the warehouse I was supposed to perform the inventory count on ! About 10 minutes walk from there was Heer's Mausoleum & so the client took me there just to show me around ! The place where Heer was buried is a small sized *not tiny* room with a big deliberately left cavity (hole) in the ceiling ! Naturally her immediate grave was littered with strings & strings wrapped around bangles attached to 4 thin metal rods protruding from that marble top covered with a green cloth (I think it was green) right on top of where shes buried. There was a guy sitting outside singing one of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's rendition of some popular Kaaafi along with playing a harmonium. The place right outside Heer's Burial Room had a couple of graves here & there ! There were school boys (probably in their matriculation level) sitting in the shade a few meters from the entrance possibly bunking school. There was a couple or two wandering in the area behind the Burial Room. There were a couple of kiosks right on the entrance to the graveyard/mausoleum selling scented candles, perfumes & the sort !

All in all an extremely depressing site considering that Heer-Ranjha is a tale that in no way is overshadowed by the fables of Romeo & Julliet or Leyla & Majnun & yet her mausoleum was very unimpressive considering how it has historical, cultural, religious (for some..they called her Maii Heer) & most of all romantic significance. I can point out a dozen tombs in Lahore alone where some guy with no name who died half a century back & they ended up making the proverbial mountain out of a molehill & ended up constructing a neat little edifice for him along with a mutwali (guardian) & an annual Urs, which is more impressive in both appearance & reverence then the one I visited in Jhang !

That was probably the biggest con ! The Pro could be the killer Biryani they fed me !

Ooooo me found this song I was looking for.... such a beautiful and calming voice! :smitten:
