Myanmar is killing, raping and displacing “Bengalis” not Rohingya

After a sickening display of complete ignorance and indifference to the plight of the Rohingya peoples by Bangladesh’s government I couldn’t sit idly by and not respond as it seems clear that the peoples of the country are ignoring a jarringly obvious truth, the ongoing genocide in Myanmar is about killing and displacing “Bengalis”.

To the military and Buddhists of Myanmar it isn't the "Rohingya" that are being raped, murdered and driven from their homes it's Bengali Muslims and in light of this fact what does Bangladesh's Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen have to say about the ongoing genocide?

"I told them the average annual wage of our people is USD2,000, whereas for you it is USD56,000. And in our country 1,200 people live in every square kilometre, while in yours it is 15. Why don't you relocate these refugees to your countries?"​

What an absolutely cowardly, sickening, disgraceful and disappointing response from the undemocratic government of pro-India Sheikh Hasina. Apparently selling out Muslims and their interests, particularly those of the peoples of Bangladesh, is not just a party but family legacy.

The government of Bangladesh needs to stop ignoring this ongoing genocide and pushing it onto other nations instead it should be taking the lead in deescalating the violence even if that means through the use of military force because if not now when?

People are literally losing their homes, livelihoods and even their lives for being “Bengali”.
